Novel Solar Powered Cockroach (Black)

Pros: Very cute looking. Albeit that it's a roach, it's a very stylized and stylish one. Once you get it going it's amusing.

Cons: Needs a fair amount of light to operate. I thought it didn't work at first. The thin winter sunshine I exposed it to wasn't enough to spur any action. Neither was a Cree flashlight with a 1.5 V battery. However it started to boogie with a 3.6 Cree in my SKU 19817 held no more than a few inches away. It also buzzed gently when close to a spotlight.

Other: Highly recommended. Inexpensive and ideal for those who don't have the time or the inclination to deal with real cockroaches.

Pros: OK, so you put it in the sun and it vibrates - there's an uber-tiny motor with a little eccentric weight. If it's on a hard surface, it kinda jiggles around.
It will probably be fun to use to mess with somebody - I'll find out! >:)

Cons: Way, way not sturdy. Don't plan on keeping this baby in your pocket. The legs and antenna are just little thin wires.
On the other hand, the blister pack thingy opens and re-closes, so that makes kinda of a handy cockroach carrying case. A clear cockroach carrying case. And I bought two, so I have a couple of clear cockroach carrying cases.

Other: How they can afford to assemble the components and ship it half-way around the world for that price - I'll never know. Oh, yeah - twenty five cents an hour - I forgot!

Pros: Looks quite like a real roach, except for the little solar pannel on its back. It comes in a nice package. Can scare some people with fear for bugs (since it is moving)

Cons: Works only is really bright sunlight or really close to a stron lightsource! People with fear for roaches might try to kill it since it is quite realistic.

Other: It's a great gadget for this price, you can show people what our sun is capable of doing.

Pros: Slim , light, all black for a nice imitation, looks like a real cockroach, vibrates under direct sunlight. Looks so real and goes like crazy , don't use it on elder people. Has a funny buzz sound since it vibrates all the time.

Cons: no on or off switch but ,it's not a con really. needs powerful light source . Hazardous for the kids for the item has pointy parts.

Other: A must have, not for the little ones obviously because the item has pointy parts. But it's definitely fun for the grown ups.

Pros: When someone turn on the light , the cockroach will start to walk. If you expect that, forget about it. It just vibrate under strong sunshine or very close to halogen light. See cons.

Cons: It does not work with LED lights even thogh it was very strong one. It does not work with fluorecent lights.It does not work through the window glasses. Only under real sunshine or very strong halogen within 10cm away.

Other: It moves.

Pros: It is amazing!! it really looks like a real cockroach!! everyone who saw it got impressed! and it is really funny on the sun! it just starts to move by itself! I'm gonna use it to afraid a friend of mine who has horror about cockroachs!!! uahsuahsuh

Cons: It isn't the same as a real cockroach cause there is a solar cell on its back, but i think it's really necessary to it works... ^^ other thing is that it only works if it's on the sun, a strong sunlight... probably because of the mobile phone motor used on it needs a lot of energy ^^

Other: Sometimes, when i look at it, i get scared! it's so real!!!

Pros: - Small - Easy to use - Looks realistic from distance - Great gift - Works on solar energy

Cons: - You really need very bright day for this to work (I use my laser) - The antennas will breake if you give it to small kids

Other: I like this cockroach. The solar panel should be better but for this price you can not complain. If you want to give nice gift to someone buy them.

Pros: It's an interesting toy... don't use any battery, just the sunlight. It really seems like a cockroach. If you put in the floor, be careful to not tread on it, maybe people will think that it's a real insect. You can handle the antennas as you want, they're made of a kind of metallic material.

Cons: Less powerful than sku.30658 . Maybe the other has a larger solar cell area. Need to be under a strong sunlight. It doesn't shake so much.

Other: Fun toy, cheap and even good for educational purposes. A cool 'geek' gift for a kid.

Pros: this is toy cockroach which operates on solar energy. it is very good way to demonstrate the use of solar energy to children. but it is disgusting for some.
very good build quality and it seems sturdy.

Cons: it is disgusting for some people, some can try to crush this while you are demonstrating it to your spectators.

Other: it is only a toy. no function except moving on table. but so cheap.

Pros: Just funny to scare your mother.

Cons: Does not work with a simple day light.
I am talking about a incredible sunny and hot day in Brazil.
Not even with the torch right over it the toy does not work.
Poorly built. The antennas can brake anytime.

Other: I would buy some others if this one had worked well. It would be a nice gift for your little crazy cousin or nephew. But since it does not work properly, don't buy it.
