Pros: Completely plug-and play. Plug into OBD port and it powers on. Immediately detected by my phone and paired immediately with the pairing key 6789. Logs data in real-time with a frequency of about 1 Hz. (Not sure if this is constrained by the dongle itself, the engine computer, or the phone I was pairing it with - your experience may vary)
Build quality was fantastic. Very solid case. Pins were straight and solid, no wobbly pins at all.
Cons: I would like it if the fit in the OBD port was tighter, I was worried about it falling out when driving. (It didn't actually fall out, I think I was just being paranoid)
Other than that, this thing is awesome.
Other: As far as I found, this is the cheapest Bluetooth OBD dongle on DX, and I can't imagine what would work better about any of the more expensive ones.
Amazing deal.

Pros: Very nice product finishing. At my car , VW GOL G4 it matches very tight and worked very well. Logs data could vary between 0,25 to 4 Hz. It worths what it costs!! Build quality was fantastic. Very solid case. Pins were straight and solid, no wobbly pins at all
Cons: Only found paid softwares for S60 Symbian Nokia Smartphone !!! There is no explaation about LED's, but for sure the RED one is the power!
Other: It is usefull to find problems on ECU car and monitor on going travel. The price is fair.

Pros: Working as aspected. Put into cars OBD 2 socket, ignition on, pair the dongle with your PC or PPC with code 6789. Though, the device is not shown in my ppc (HTC Diamond) as connected, it depends on the software you are using if it would work or not. I'm using the OBD Gauge for PPC and its working with an update rate of 1Hz. I have succesfully erased some trouble codes from my car (Volvo V40 T4) and I can view / record data when I'm driving. Also tried some other freeware apps I found on the internet but with no success.
Cons: The update rate could be higher. But for that money and a BT conenction it is ok. Also the software shipped with the Dongle has no use for me. Mainly freeware apps you can find on the web.
Other: It's working...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I bought mine 2 months ago, and it had a defect - not working :( DX made a replacement with a new one, which I'm using with no problems for more than a month. It's very fast and easy to use on mobile HTC WM6.5 with OBD Gauge. Reads and clears check engine mistakes for no time.
Cons: it's a little bit larger (longer), and my leg is pushing it as i'm driving. Lack of user friendly application for readable data - short and long fuel trim is displayed in two digit numbers, some time with minus....
Other: buy it

Pros: Works fine with MMC Delica, Opel Astra, Subaru Outback USA. Now i;m using it with carpc on WinCE. Works fine.
Cons: Dont works with Subaru Lancaster Japan 2000.
Other: before you buy check whether the device to work on ELM with your car. Works fine as a diagnostic tool for devices WinCE. In any case, this is a great buy if you understand what you really are buying and are not afraid of some of the technical difficulties associated with communication devices according to the protocol Bluetooth.

Pros: Different version/protocol support seems perfect. The connector works great in my 2000 Renault Clio. A small light indicates the connection state. It paired brilliantly with my Nexus One Android phone and to the Torque application, allowing me to see real-time stats on my phone while driving (and more...). Connector seems to be pretty well build, too.
Cons: Took a long time to arrive...
Other: For this price the feature support and build quality is definitely worth it.

Pros: - cheap; almost a 10th of the normal price :D
- very easy to use
- feels like it is built to last
Cons: None I can think of at the moment
Other: This item is really plug and play! I use it in my Hyundai i10 (2010) together with Torque for Android and all it needed was pairing with my phone (the latest Torque version seems to fix the update speed some write off).

Pros: - Can connect to any bluetooth device (laptop, pda, phone) - Reads all OBD2 data With the right software it's really neat to have all the gauges and other information as you drive. - Great price compared to other "proffesional" tools and it does exactlly the same as these prof tools. - Great build quallity - fits nicely in the OBD2 socket. - Very easy to use with the right software. - Does what it says it does.
Cons: It's kinda hard to find the right software for a BlackBerry phone. I've searched a couple of days to find software for it for a friend of mine but came up with nothing. Besides this I haven't found any cons. For android and other phone/tab os's there are lots of software available. Same for XP.
Other: Besides the "toy-ish" functions this is of course also a very handy tool for mechanics. It can read all the informational codes like error codes. Great product for it's price.

Pros: I started up the car, connected the reader and my Samsung i9000 android phone paired without problems.
Using the Torque free version I had my car diagnosed in less than 10 minutes. I was also able to use the "fast update" function in the Torque application which gave me really fast reading of my oxygen sensor
Cons: The pairing code could be printed on the OBD reader. You have to open the CD and read a text file to find it. On my reader the pairing code is 6789.
Other: A really nice product. Together with the Android app "Torque" it was able to find all problems with the sensors. I removed the cables to some of the sensors and the faults were found right away. The update speed was also very good.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I use this with my HTC Android phone where I installed Torque. Everything works just fine without any problems.
Cons: Device is rather big; I need to remove a cover, place the unit but than the cover won't fit back. If it was about 1CM shorter I could leave it plugged in all the time.
The supplied CD with software is quit outdated. Have not really used any of it because I'm happy with Torque.
Other: If you need a diagnostic tool this is the best way. Works fine with my Seat Ibiza ST (2011).
A mentioned; device is rather big but allot cheaper than the shorter version (SKU 16921)
