OBDII USB Car Diagnostic Cable - Black
- This cable works on all VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles with a 16 Pin Diagnostic Connector.
- Can not work if your car uses a protocol/bussystem like VPW, PWM or CAN-bus.
- Terminal K = bus of communication
- Terminal L = ignition for waking up car computing system (ECU: Engine Control Unit)
- This K/L diagnostic interface & cables work on ISO/KWP (Key Word Protocol) launched after 1996 only
-Supported also ISO9141 protocol; supports VAG-COM version 409.1 or older
- The Cables may work with some versions of the Carsoft, but carsoft used a lot of different interfaces during the different versions and also had some custom interfaces.
- Capability includes: encoding drivers, encoding key with immobiliser,service review set, drivers comparison, regulation of turn of waste run, diagnostics of executive elements and many others capabilities
- Compatible cars: SANTANA 2000/3000, Audi 100/200/80/90/A4/A6/A8, SANTANA 2000 (Age Superman), Polo(Exclude 02/03 ), Jetta, Bora, Golf, Passat, Small flag Beetle andVW/Audi cars

  • Good cable for old cars

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Good quality cable. Robust connector, thick isolation. CD comes with drivers for old days operation systems. The Windows7 detects cable automatically and no addtional drivers are needed.
    Cable includes chip FTDI FT232BL, what is a USB-serial converter to make virtual COM port from USB connected device. COM port then seems like standard serial port. Number of COM port (1,2,3 or 4) can be set in driver properties. Core of cable is chip LM393.

    Cons: None.

    Other: None application on CD. You must obtain some freeware diagnostic programs from internet.

    Pros: Supports VAG-COM 304.0 Supports Windows 8 (drivers from internet) Good quality Robust connector

    Cons: I received blank driver CD

    Other: Good plastics. Cable looks professional. Solid and hard wire. Disappointment but blank CD where the drivers should be.
