    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Really working device
    Build quality is high.
    Just plug and work.
    Everything is ready for use.

    Cons: Closed Linux.
    No support for WiFi
    remote control design is better to be on the model of S9

    Other: If there is no race for the special features, it is not a bad choice for watching HD channels with the actual playback quality!

  • Nice box, but not for all

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: * Has HDMI output * Can share. * Big remote - not so easy to lose between sofa cushions

    Cons: * Does not read Irdeto2 and Conax cards making it useless for legal VivaTV (aka Orion Express) subscribers. * It's default firmware is total crap. Lip sync issues, freezes, problems unscrambling channels, etc. * It's not original, so you'll have to look for "clone safe" firmware for solving issues.

    Other: Requires some tech knowledge to make it work without pissing you off every now and then. It is definitely not a plug-in-and-forget thing for blondies. But if you are not afraid of this - it's well worth a try
