What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: This item is an interesting and usefull purchase for those that have both a wii and a PS3 and want to use a VGA monitor to play. The image quality is good using the wii.
Cons: This cons only aplies to the wii, as I could not check with a PS3.
The initial setup is a bit complicated and requires a TV with RGB component input so the Wii can be set to 480p. This is the only mode that the cable can work.
Other: As bottomline, this is a great product, quite usefull for those who have both platforms in the same place and want to switch from one to other. However, the installation is a bit tricky as no instructions are provided.

Pros: This cable delivers top picture quality when I use my Wii via the VGA input on my LED LCD HDTV.
I haven't tried my PS3 with this cable, as there's no need for it. Given the PS3 natively supports HDMI, I naturally connect my PS3 to my HDTV via the HDMI inputs.
Cons: As described in "Other Thoughts" below, there is a green RCA lead which can be connected to the TV's composite video input. This is handy when initially setting up your Wii to output a 480p video signal. Whilst this RCA works well for setup purposes only (its intended use), it delivers a B/W composite video signal. For those spoilt kiddies who've grown up having never seen or used the abbreviation B/W, it stands for "Black and White". That is, a greyscale picture, no colour.
Of course, after you've set your Wii to output a 480p video signal, you'll then switch your HDTV's input signal (using your TV remote) from the Composite Video to the VGA signal, and then marvel at your Wii's display in glorious crisp, detailed VGA colours.
It would be nice though, if the composite video signal was a colour signal ... sure, it's meant for setup purposes only, but why not set up in colour ?
More importantly than the setup, there are a handful of older Wii games ("My Littlest Pet Shop" is the only one I've come across personally, but unfortunately it happens to be one of my daughter's favourite games !!) that can't output a 480p video signal ... these games just send the screen blank when using the VGA signal of this cable ... if you switch back to the Composite Video signal (using the green RCA plug this cable uses for its setup), the picture will return to the screen, but you'll be playing the game in B/W !!
I paid $35 for my cable, a bit pricey. DX has dropped the price since then, so you'll get a better deal than I did.
Other: Worth getting. The VGA picture on the Wii is gloriously colourful and detailed. I'm glad I purchased this cable for $35. You'll get an even better deal, now that DX has dropped the price.

Pros: OK this babe can be useful let me play my games in my room when i didn't have i flat screen TV
can play directly on PC screen
flat or even the old one
can even work in TV in PC port when you have allots of console my Wii is plugged in PC port on my TV in 480p
Cons: well only cons is the configuration for ps3 you have to set it to 720 p or 1080 p in order to work and in ps3 the screen refresh quite allots it blinks when it does can be really frustrating when playing some action game but i does that only on LCD PC screen on the old one it doesn't as i recall.
Other: if you have multi console can be worth it if not just to play ps3 on you LCD PC screen can get you mad
still since i have more then 1 console great spent of my 30 bucks
