Pen Style Non Contact Alarm AC Voltage Detector with LED illumination (90V~1000V/2*AAA)

Pros: Sensitivity is just right. Doesn't beep until you put it right against a hot wire (120v). My last tester was so sensitive it beeped at static from a plastic bag! I've had one for over a month now.

Cons: I got two. The first one wasn't glued so I used some super glue to fix it (white part to grey part.)

Pros: It really is a good product and safe for use with electric power at low voltage AC

Cons: The button LED is a little hard did not come with packaging is bad to insert or replace the battery because it did not come with packaging as I did not know how to open the tester

Other: For those working with electricity I would recommend because it is a safety item, avoids risk of death from algun error cutting of wire by mistake, he removes the doubt whether it is energized the circuit. I recommend

Pros: If you are a new working with the electric power I think that it will help you because you will be able to work without switch off the electric power. It's like a pen and you can wear it easily.

Cons: It use 2 battery AAA and you don't have a botton to switch off the gadget. It has an inscription which say "Warning: Read manual, test before using". ¿But where is the manual? There isn't a manual.

Other: I think that the VoltAlert is great and cheap.

Pros: It is a very good voltage detector. The beep is very loud, excellent! This item is funny to play with as an old kid. It beep sometime when place next to a mobile phone. It also avoid cutting a neutral wire by mistake. It confirms the doubt whether it is an energized the circuit or not.

Cons: unfortunately it does not detect through walls. It will not beep until you put it right against a live wire . Battery replacement is difficult as the resistance sensor gets twisted when inserted in the white non-contact plastic casing. So use good battery!

Other: Funny item !

Pros: You get a "Genuine Fluke" lookalike VoltAlert for a much less than "Genuine Fluke" price. Works as well as the Market Leader and has the useful white LED light too. Definitely a good buy.

Cons: None whatsoever. It's sensitive, reliable and the LED light is really useful, especially in the dark recesses of older property fuseboards.

Other: Definitely a good buy - and this is the model I now use routinely. It's durable, and very reliable. You've got to look VERY closely to notice that this is not the "Real Deal", and the functionality is just as good as the Market Leader.

Pros: VERY GOOD. i'm form argentina. i recived it in 3 weeks.
it detects live wires very good.
the light led is quite good.
the sound and light when it detects something is exellent. very loud and bright.

Cons: it is a bit difficult to open the baterry case. you need something like a pen or screwdriver to open it and be careful not to break it.
other thing is that you cannot turn it off.
it should have a switch to turn it on or off.
the button that it has is only for the light led.

Other: it does what it shoulds. exellent.
if you need it, buy it.

Pros: Nice light for those dark corners. Loud audible alert. It works as promised. Right amount of sensitivity

Cons: Compared to an original its obviously reverse-engineered. Low quality graphics work. Light switch can flicker because leads are not soldered. No brand name=no reputation

Other: Okay cheap tool, but know how to use it when your life is on the line doing electrical work. You get what you pay for.

Pros: Looks Great and seems to work as described. The price was great on this item too as well. Led light is very handy and bright. Audible alert is loud and tip flashes nicely when AC voltage is present.

Cons: Its straight forward to use but there was no packaging or instructions. Instructions would be helpful to some if they need assistance figuring out how to open the unit to install the battery.

Other: Nice little item for the price and is definitely useful in anyones tool kit if you occasionally do electrical work.

Pros: Tool for testing electrical fences areworking, useful for testing if electronics devices are energized.

Cons: No way to turn off to save energy from batteries. Flash light could be stronger. Is not possible to detect cables inside the walls, detect electrical field of a 127 volts line far 2 centimeter

Other: the color choice for the product are very nice, it appear to be a fluke device.
