Pros: OK so its very good value for $14! Some Cisco and AVAYA Inline PoE 802.3af-2003 adapters are priced at 9x or more. (25Watt category) Under the standard, "MODE B" wiring indicates that cable pins 4&5 (pair 1) and pins 7&8 (pair 4) carry the actual power at 48 VDC. There is a specific "announce" sequence in the standard that allows Powered Devices (PD) to "detect" which power mode is being used. The device was designed for 10baseT and 100baseTX, it works at 1000baseT for shorter cable runs. The device will work with older Cisco and Nortel VoIP phones which default to MODE-B 802.3af anyway (4&5 are +, 7&8 are - or "return".
Cons: The problem with the DX product is that it is not "smart in that it will NOT perform the smart "announcement" stages called for in the actual standard, where a PD is "told" in the first few seconds of connection which standard is followed, which is why most devices will REJECT this PoE adapter. The device definately causes issues with 1000baseT system wiring, and smart switches see it as a problem from about 10meters onwards. No real ULc and correct CE markings. Worked at 240VAC ok but gets hot
Other: its not "PoE-smart" but it does MODE B and its $14! least expensive working MODE B "PSE" on the world market. Excellent for TELECOM Timing and other outside plant DCE's that are powered by 48VDC

Pros: It worked with my Cisco AP 1131 (whereas an original cisco CP-PWR-CUBE-3 + AIR-PWRINJ3, with 0.38A did not). I think the 500mA of this injector instead of 380mA of the original Cisco Power Cube may even be better better when using very long or poor quality ethernet cabling.
Cons: It did not work with my Cisco 7960 IP Phone (which does work with the CP-PWR-CUBE-3 + AIR-PWRINJ3 combination). Maybe a power mode incompatibility, but couldn't find a power mode setting in the phone)
Other: It works, I'm happy, I reccomend this

Pros: This Power supply 48V with RJ45 PoE works fine. It does what it promises. I use it for an IP phone but should work fine with other devices like IP cameras for example.
Cons: Actually nothing, it does what it promises. I did not expect more. A power cord would be good in the package.
Other: This is a great option to power up your devices fromEthernet if they can support it, then no extra wires are needed. Make sure your device use 48V and make sure where +/- shound be on the pinouts before connecting.

Pros: It has worked like a charm right out the box, connected Mitel Ip Phone to it, and simply worked.
Cons: It's not really a con, but it comes without any power cord, so I needed to find another one, an standard PC power coord did the work.
Other: If you need a POE 803.af standard power brick, it is a decent one doing what it is expected to do. I Reccomend that item.

Pros: This POE injector looks and feels a lot like the more expensive one i can buy in the Netherlands for over 50euros ! It functions as it supposed to, it even has a little LED showing the POE status. Been using it for 2 weeks now and i didnt find any problems. I would but it again !
Cons: It doesnt ship with a 230v power cord. And the casing could be a little smaller.
Other: Good product, no real cons and does the job ! fyi: i am using this with a Aastra RFP43IP Wlan access point !
