What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very versatile tape. Withstand 200ºC without problems. Perfect electrical isolation. Wide enough to install components over it. Easy to build your own circuits using it as dielectric layer and copper tape for electrical traces, ideal for prototyping
Cons: Other kapton tapes support higher temperatures
Other: Nice cheaper alternative to SKU 5101 when extreme temperature resistance is not required, especially if you need a wider tape.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This tape is definitely not fake, I have tried to burn through it with a soldering iron set to the max temperature where the solder readily crusts and the tape just merely bent under it and was shiny again after wiping. It is worth mentioning that this is the THIN variety of such tape, as seen on connectors in hi-tech electronics. If you want a thicker tape, buy sku.5101 which I also bought. These tapes also have a curiously well-sticking glue making them ideal even for not-so-hot areas, you just can rely on them staying put.
Cons: None quality-wise, but the description should say something about the thickness.
Other: If you are into DIY stuff, what are you waiting for?
