What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: This tape is not fake, is just like the original. It handles 300ºC without problems. I have used it to fix a temperature sensor to a heater. Very useful to electrically insulating between components and the heatsinks. This tape can be used in masking of circuit boards during resoldering, transformer and capacitor insulation, powder coating and high temperature applications and other electronic manufacturing processes. Is a wider tape, good for large areas.
Cons: none to say
Other: Will buy again when I need more
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good quality, good packaging. Does what you'd expect from tape, and does it well. Does not smell white heated to 200c. It's as good as you'd expect from kapton tape, just like the real thing. I have not tried it past 240c, but I expect it to preform equally well. There's really not much else to say.
Cons: Don't see any.
Other: If you need heat-resistant tape, this is it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Cheap!!! Adhesive is very good! Elasticity is acceptable! Does not tear easily!
Cons: Heat isolation is less than expected. I still feel a bit warm from the heat generated by my processor where I stick this tape on them. Surface must be very clean before this tape sticks.
Other: Very good item because it's very cheap. Buy them if your usage is not critical!!!

Pros: Temperature resistant tape. Perfect for 3D printing use. ABS and PLA both stick to it good. Maybe even sand it up a little and your filament finally sticks. My soldering iron doesnt go through!
Cons: DX doesnt sell wide tape, other than that none! Would love to see wider tape (100mm!) DX! please expand your assortiment with wider rolls of real temperature resistant kapton tape!
Other: good product, works well and is real kapton tape.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: cheap- real specification with more tolerance for hight temperature (300ºc over short times) but holds stick- very good indeed. the specification over the temp is really true and overpass the standard specified. it´s handy and I can use it again the piece of tape.
Cons: not really, maybe it´s about the glue of the tape. but is a minimal fact.
Other: Very Good tape and cheap!

Other: Very good item because it's very cheap. Buy them if your usage is not critical!!! Polyimide (Kapton is a DuPont brand name) is not damaged by quite high temperatures, but it is not intended as a thermal insulator. In fact, many termally-conductive sheet materials used for mounting power semiconductors are made with a thin polyimide core coated on both sides with silicone or other material.
