I can say that this gadget accomplished that on the Wireless Repeater mode. This gadget also has a AP (Access Point) mode that was not tested. Now the pros: - Nice looking design, glossy white, leds are not very strong so does not hurt the eye or is source of light when you are in a dark room. - Came with an instruction manual, which was very clear to explain how to set it up as a Repeater. I followed the instructions and took me maybe 10 minutes to have it up and running. It created a new WiFI SSID - called WiFi Repeater 1, which uses the same password as the WIFI from my provider. Nontheless, devices connect automatically to a strong signal of my provider Wifi, which leads me to think that the device: 1) creates another wifi SSID and 2) emmits a strong signal of the existing SSID Wifi. This is good since you do not have to switch between wifi's</span></p> <p class="cons"> <strong>Cons:</strong> <span>Product seem fragile, but it is not a toy to play with. Some speed is lost - approx 2MB but on my 8MB connection is not really an issue.</span></p> <p class="other"> <strong>Other:</strong> <span>The device performs well for what I intended to use it. I am not an expert so I can not provide more information on the AP Mode. If you want it to use it like me, go ahead and buy it. When I got this product, I thought I would not be able to cover the areas of shadow and thought it could not configure it. But to my surprise, not only managed to set up just as the shadow areas in my house.
