  • Not secure clamping

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Good manufacturing quality. Lightweight, compact design, very portable and pocket size, adaptable to irregular surfaces with tripod legs. Wont slip because of rubber feet. Ball adjustment swivel mounting screw allows pointing camera at any angle very precisely. Can hold standard SLR camera weight with no problems, including large zoom lens.

    Cons: Clamping screw has a very coarse (long) pitch thread, causing slipping of screw by its own pressure, so clamping to a table border or a tubular frame is not secure, since it self releases the clamping force, getting loose. Clamping screw thread should have had a fine pitch instead, for better clamping and stable force. This is the reason of not giving 5 stars in quality.

    Other: Good product at an affordable price. I recommend it.
