Have you ever wondered how great it would be to track vehicles like James Bond? What about finding your car quickly after it is stolen? As an employer it is great to see where your company car or truck is going without having to follow it.
This is a great GPS tracker for cars and trucks or any other vehicle you might have. It can accurately record the path driven as well as the current position of any vehicle. It uses GPS, GSM and GPRS on a quad band network. You can even have the info sent to your phone as an SMS when trying to track down the current location. In non-service areas it records the info and transmits it when a good signal is acquired. The info can also be downloaded via a USB port.

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Cheap.
    Solid aluminum case.
    Good GPS sensitivity.
    GSM connects in bad coverage areas.

    Cons: Not a VT310.
    Headcent unidirectional GPRS protocol.
    Incomplete manual, does not cover all the commands / connections.
    To view tracks you must connect to a very slow Chinese web.
    Bad inside build quality.
    Inputs/outputs are not protected, is very easy to destroy it. Almost if connections are not explained in manual.

    Other: A cheap one, but not so cheap for the performance.
    To track the vehicle you must expend money in sms or wait too many time for the web service or create your own server.
    Be VERY careful connecting it, there is no protection in inputs, so is very easy to burn it.

    Pros: Solid aluminum case. Cheat. Eletrical squema in manual is correct.

    Cons: Not a VT310 model Manual is wrong - SMS commands do not work Battery is not good. Low charge. Any SMS response is in Chinese language.

    Other: Search for TK112 user manual to see valid commands. To receive position in SMS, send SMS with POS 0000 password <old pass> <new pass> manager <passwd> <position id> <fone number> It is any of valid commands.
