Pros: The mat was a nice, small size, easy to fit anywhere.

Cons: When used on my laptop, the sound came with a 0.5 second delay, making this instrument pretty useless for other thing than a toy for small child. The mat has to be placed on a straight, hard surface and even then the drums surfaces did not always work. I think that anyone wanting to use this as an intro into the musical world would be dissapointed.

Other: A small child would find this gadget amusing, at least for 10 minutes. It should react at once when you hiut the drums and not 0.5 seconds later. I am sorry to say that I can't recommend this gadget.

Pros: the material is resilient. The software has many options. can learn to play drums. The software has a similar way to the games. tested on Windows XP and 7 working 100.

Cons: the sticks are plastic but the size is right. the sound is played in series, not parallel, this limits the realism, if two drums are played simultaneously, the sound only plays the first was activated, no mixes sounds.

Other: if you want to learn the basics for playing drums is a good option, is economical and durable, the size is reduced and small sticks if you have big hands, or you're a strong person can be difficult to play.
