Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It has better build quality than I expected. Dual brightness leds. Fits my current stand. Software works.
Cons: Cheap almost worthless stand. DinoCapture 2.0 software didn't pic it up.(Software that came with more expensive microscope I already have) USB cable could be longer.
Other: Good microscope for the price. It has a good picture quality and focus method as $200 capture 200x microscope I already have.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - It's a really microscope;
- Two levels of light;
- Can use in absence of light (useful for oblique light observations);
- Good english manual.
Cons: - Some two magnifications: 20 x and about 200 x. The remainder is given by the software;
- There is a gradation in the body of the microscope that is inconsistent with the magnification and should not serve as basis for determining the increase in image;
- It did not work on my laptop (Celeron M processor with Windows 7 32), but ran flawlessly on a desktop (Core 2 Duo with Windows 7 64).
Other: Good for children, scientists (entomologists for example) and CSI enthusiasts...
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good price and quality, easy to install drivers and use it. It has a big resolution (up to 2048x1536) and a two levels of light.
Cons: The maximum magnification I could get - approximately 380 (in maximum resolution and minimum dpi - 72). Well, it's good, but it's not 800 as described... Besides, it has only 2 magnifications: the minimum (20X) and the maximum. I couldn't get the other medium magnification. Also usb cable could be a little longer and stand holder a little heavier
Other: Really good compact microscope, especially for this price. But, unfortunatelly it's not real 800X.

Pros: At the beginning i could not believe that was so simple to get it working. Install the driver. Plug the usb. And "voilá", its working. Very good quality. I use it for eye analysis ( naturopathy) and now can see all the details for a better diagnosis
Cons: The software that came with the camera is to basic. Only permit to select the resolution / record. If you want a snapshot the camera will tilt and you have to push the button many times until you have a clear photo.
Other: Very useful and simple to transport.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Easy to install and use. Good resolution Small and easy to handle when necessary to move around any object.
Cons: Image stability could be better mainly when using high zoom. It must be really stable and free from vibrations to show a good and clear image when using high zoom rates.
Other: Maybe the price is not so low but it is a good value for the function. Why do you need a microscope ???? I also don´t know, however it interesting to look things sometimes......

Pros: Pretty high quality image and magnifies very well. I had no trouble installing it on my Windows 7 64 bit machine once I figured out what to do.
Cons: Instructions that came with it weren't good, but it didn't take too long to figure it out. Stand would be better if it had more adjustment capability and was more sturdy.
Other: Basically will be used as a powerful electronic magnifying glass and camera for taking close up pictures of things.

Other: Recomendo o produto

Pros: Good device, easy to use and much better than a general digital camera that do not show the details . This device shows good details.
Cons: We can acurate the aproximation in 20X or 800X times, but I can doubt about this numbers of aproximation. Even the rate of pixels (2.0) it seems lower than two megapixels.
Other: Good device to check details in other equipaments or documents easy to use than a microscope.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good for soldering SMD and inspecting PCB. Good LED light. Work with generic WEB CAM drivers and imaging software.
Cons: Stend is OK but not easy to adjust. Focus range is not: 10mm ~ 500mm as stated but 10mm - 170mm. It is imposible to take good still images with build in button (red one) because you move microscope out of focus.
Other: Worth the money. If you need cheap microscope for soldering, stamp collecting, craft of jewellery ....bay it
