Premium TOSLINK Digital Audio Optical Cable (3M-Length)

Pros: It works fine at sending the audio from my PS2 or PC to my receiver in glorious surround sound. Looks good (not that you see it at the back of everything) and is thicker than the really cheap ones, so you probably won't break it.

Cons: It doesn't have a very positive mechanical connection. The other cables I have "click" when you have them inserted all the way. This doesn't "click" but it stays in fine and works fine.

Other: Don't pay $50 for this cable from your local electronics store, buy this one.

Pros: I just needed a optical cable so I could link my audio interface (profire 2626) to an hi-fi I had here. Looked into dealextreme and decided to buy this item. I shall say: This kicks ass. I wouldnt expect so much quality for such a inexpensive cable. I shall say: Build Quality, Cost and apearance. You have you cable right here.

Cons: I must say: don't expect a 50$ cable right? For this price, this cable is unbeatable. I don't hear any difference using this or a pro quality cable, so I can say for sure there are no Cons.

Other: Now I rip music to flac directly with pro quality, for example. For everything I use this cable, I can only be satisfied. If you really need a toslink cable, just buy this and have fun.

Pros: It works. Reasonable build quality, and reasonably solid construction.

Cons: It is far from obvious that the translucent caps are just caps,and need to be removed. I almost damaged my CD player trying to remove them. It would make a lot more sense if they were black or red or something to make it more obvious that you need to remove them. Even once I realised I had to remove them, one didn't come off easily, and I had to use my teeth to pull it off. It did click into place, but not all that firmly.

Other: Does the job, works fine, but don't try to plug it in until you've removed the caps.

Pros: Very good quality. On the contrary of other opinions, I found connection quite firm and positive.

Cons: None.

Other: Since it was already said, do not forget to remove the small plastic cape that protect both ends of the cabe before connect it. 10 of 10 persons forget of removing it on the first time that they connect...

Pros: - Cable jacket is thick. This adds some protection.
- It conducts light.

Cons: - Cable jacket is thick. This adds some weight and makes it harder to route.
- The fake gold-plated ring at the end is an annoying cosmetic addition. Mine slid out of place when trying to seat the cable.
- The cables are pretty hard to seat. I had to shove them into the devices pretty hard to get them to mate and then they did not always click solidly.

Other: You should consider other cables ahead of this one. The fake gold sleeve is annoying.

Pros: Bought it for my PS3 console to connect to a Kenwood receiver. Cost is really cheap, and the sound quality is great! It is connected to surround speakers and I have no problems with it whatsoever. Highly recommended bargain!

Cons: Just don't forget to take off the caps! And its an optical cable, so don't try torturing it too much if you don't want it to break on you!

Other: Buy it if you don't want to pay a lot of money for similar quality!

Pros: Cheap They are well made Long length The plastic ends seem to be of good quality the glazss fiber is of good quality

Cons: Nothing, if you need a spdif cable then get this so you can save some money

Other: You get what you pay for but in this case you get a great value I have been using these cables for almost 2 months and they are working well and have not broken at all

Pros: Great cables! When i received the cables (i bought 2 of this) i was very upset because one of the translucent caps where broken. But the i realized that it's just a cap, it's not part of the cable. The cable is just fine and works at 100%. I don't have any lost of sound quality!

Cons: There's no Cons for this! I could say what most people says "the package wasn't good and bla bla bla" but really, who cares? It's just a package!

Other: If you want to buy a good cable and don't want to spend much money, this is what you are looking for.

Pros: wow what a bang for your buck, works so sweet sounds so nice. using it on my 6.1 channel through my onkyo amp, crisp clear sound even through divx and playing xbox. comes with plastic protectors for the optical ends. to keep them protected.

Cons: packaging sucked balls little plastic lunch bag but i guess for the price who really cares. the optical ends are protected but the packaging really needs to be looked at.

Other: will buy another 1 to add for my media centre to plug into my amp. works fantastic recommend for anyone to purchase.

Pros: This cable is extremely good. Its build quality seems almost right up there with Monster and Rocketfish but at 1/10th the price...absolutely unbelievable. I was really surprised and expected much less for what this costs.
There's a real solid 'click' when you plug these in, the cable itself is pretty thick, and I haven't noticed any sound issues when using this on my PS3 or XBOX

Cons: The cable ends might be a bit loose, but you can just screw them back on.

Other: Buy this now...heck, buy two. I'll probably get three or four more - I would replace some of the other "cheap" cables ($20 from factorydirect) in the house with these in a heartbeat.
