Professional Hot-Swap 3.5" SATA Hard Disk Drive Rack Mount Drawer

Pros: The rubber-damped mounting means that my already-quiet HD (previously installed directly inside my PC) is even quieter now in this hot-swap tray.
Quality of the eject mechanism is surprisingly good (for this price), and the lockable door helps to prevent accidental removal.

Cons: Even when locked, the latch on the door can still be operated, allowing the door to pop out a little... the lock prevents the door from actually opening, but it is necessary to push the door back in to relatch it.
Mine arrived with a bag of screws inside the shrink-wrapping of the tray in the box, but the bag contained 3 correct chassis mounting screws and one with the wrong thread... not a problem for me as I have lots of spare screws from other projects, but might be a problem for others. YMMV.

Other: Decent quality for the price. If you want a hot-swap tray that lets you choose the length of your own SATA cables (not included), then this is the one to get.

Pros: Generally well made, steady drawer, looks nice and clean. Hard disk is easy to install without tools and whole drawer fits nicely to my computer. Lockable, prevents accident removal of hard disk.

Cons: Door handle is bit loose when locked, it might get accidently broken pretty easily. Ventilation might be problem with some hard drives since there's no fans.

Other: I ordered only one first because I was little bit sceptical about the quality. When I got mine I ordered instantly one more!

Other: Digno de qualidade para o preço. Se você quer uma bandeja de hot-swap que permite escolher o comprimento de seus próprios cabos SATA (não incluído), então este é o único a conseguir.

Cons: The latch can be opened even when locked but not enough to actually disconnect the drive. Not really a con but something that can be improved in future revisions.

Other: For this price you can hardly find better. I didn't. Here's one more satisfied customer.

Pros: -Good build quality. Nice and sturdy, metal facings, rubber silencing and nice sturdy plastic. - Easy to use, just slide the harddrive in there, and it pops up on the screen (Vista).

Cons: Can't find any as of yet.

Other: Nice product to a good price. Does what it's supposed to do, and does it well. The rubber damping is a huge pluss, almost no sound from a 10000rpm harddrive. Easy to install and use, perfekt for both begginners and profesionals in the field of computer building.

Pros: Hurray for hot swap! I love this thing, it's cheap and easy to use. Installation is a breeze (four screws).

Cons: The retaining mechanism ('U' shaped clip) leaves marks on the drives. It's no biggie, but I like my Caviar Blacks to be pristine. :/

Other: Buy it, you won't regret it. Now I need one for 2.5" drives too.

Pros: The connection is full SATA (both power and sata), no old molex, so for a recent PC like mine which doesn't have any molex connectors, this drawer is great. The mounting is easy and it works fine, with no vibrations at all.
The lock is completely optional : I don't care about blocking access to the drives, so I just don't use the keys since they are not required to get the drives working (the lock only blocks physical access it's not connected to any electronics).

Cons: The build quality isn't perfect. The side mounts were slightly bent towards the inside on mine, but nothing worrying.
As written by other, the U shaped metal piece inside which pushes onto the drives to keep them from moving/vibrating does leave some marks on the top of the drives.

Other: Great purchase. I had an extra SATA connector free on my motherboard but no more 3.5" internal slots, so with this device I can now have an extra 3.5" SATA hard drive connected at any time, and hot-swap it whenever I want.

Pros: This thing is great! For whatever reason, the eSATA on my motherboard doesnt work that well, and USB 2.0 is just too flipping slow. Being able to quickly install/uninstall a hard drive with this device is so much easier that resorting to enclosures or opening the tower case.

Cons: Only a minor complaint. One is that you cannot swap while the computer is turned on, you'll need to turn off the computer and then plug in the drive and turn the computer back on. Not a big deal - and maybe some computers can get around that speed bump.

Other: I will probably buy more of these in the future to put into all the computers in the house. They're great!

Pros: If you have a free Sata Port on your Mainboard (or AddonCard) and want an easy to swap 3.5" harddrive, buy it, you would not regret it !
I use it in my home server box for additional hdds, which i not need to swap meanly, but the noise bumpers are really helpful and make the hdd quiet.

Cons: only minor, the quality is not superior ,but for the price this is fine. nothing to complain.

Pros: I am using this for my do-it-yourself home server. I have twelve disks in here. But when one breaks, I have to open up the whole server, get the drive cage out and replace the defective disk. I figured I could try this solution and I ordered one. Placing it was a breeze.
Build quality is OK. I don't think you should use this to swap disks every day (get a hdd docking instead), but for occasional disk swapping it should suffice.

Cons: No cons

Other: Works as advertised. Will order more to complete my server.
