Professional Power Supply for Tattoo Machine (AC 60~250V)

Pros: It's an inexpensive power supply for wide range of everyday needs. I bought it for DIY projects not related to tattoo at all :) This PS unit is very lightweight because it uses a switching AC-DC converter build around TOP223Y IC, and a secondary regulated linear stabilizer on a LM317T IC (rated up to 2.2A output). The case is well built from iron, overall PS size is small.

Cons: There are a few cons common to cheap chinese electronics. No EMI filter on 220 input. Power transformer has very thin copper wiring. Some important components of regulated part are not soldered at all. The bottom side of the PCB may short circuit by iron case surface. The voltage indicator looks cheap (just like a toy) and its mount clamps are weak. After all, the rubber pads at the case bottom side smell horrific :(

Other: It is a great starting point or even "assembled DYI kit" for building a good modern PS for your hobby electronics etc. Well maybe someone would use it for tattoos, too ;)
