Professional Precision Digital Scale 5g Calibration Weight (5-gram)

Pros: I am not an user of this thinny weight,
becouse I ordered one, just to complete
a round number on my price tag with DX... ;)

Cons: Could be selled in a row, 4 or 5 in a pack,
becouse even inside that lovelies yellowish
bubble bags, you can lost or forget ones in.

Other: Don´t be overwighted by the shops owners,
carries always this CALIBRATION WEIGHTS
on pockets and shows them, all your... uh...
(show WHAT?)

Pros: -Very good price
-Nice build quality, very good looking
-Unscrewable top, so you can change the weight
-Shiny
-Very accurate weight
-Great for scale calibration
-Works well with scales from Dealextreme
-calibrates well

Cons: -Weight comes from weird stuff inside, which can be lost easily if the top is unscrewed
-Would be nice to buy in a pack of 5

Pros: Cute little thing... how much can be told on a 5 gram wight? Build quality looks good. It is surprizingly small for its weight. Tiny shiny little thing. Is this made from Uranium :-)?

Cons: I could not unscrew the top, as mentioned here. But why should I? How am I supposed to calibrate a calibration weight?!? A hole to put this on a key chain would have been a nice feature. I could drill one - but this will change the weight of the weight...

Other: Buy one, even if you don't need one (like me)!

Pros: Good for checking/calibrating your precision scales. My Dealextreme 0.01 precision scale said 5.02g so either the scale is SLIGHTLY off or the calibration weight is off, either way, is so little that i dont care :)

Cons: I really cant find any.

Other: Well i guess i pretty much said it, Its a nice product!

Pros: Works... absolutely worth the price... Checked with my calibratet lab scale... Nearly exact, i would rate it M1 or better for european reference scaling...

Cons: I did not find cons at all... but delivery time from dx to europe is sometimes horrible due to postal services and customs...

Other: It fullfils my needs... More weights on DX to come hopefully...

Pros: Very usefull for household applications, hobbies, jewellery, model crafiting, etc.

I don´t think it could be used in a serious calibration task.
I cannot measure accuracy with my dealextreme digital scale.
I could not unscrew the top as mentioned in other reviews. Eventhough I could not think of a reason to unscrew it.

Other: You will like it! Very usefull to calibrate scales for household jobs.

Pros: This calibration weight helped me very well with the new DE skales to uderstand if the calibration is accurate or not(and they are accurate, thank you DealExtreme!!!:)))).

Cons: I had another problem with it than the other reviewers: the upper part fell out and the threading seem to be damaged, so i can't put it back to it's place tightly, it falls out quite easily.

Other: Don't know really what to add more about such a small thingie. :)

- quite small when compared to 5g of feathers :-)

Cons: - The handle seems to be glued to body
- It's probably not exactly 5.000g

Other: Buy if you need it. Especially if you are testing many scales frequently. Or you want to check acurracy of your scale periodically.

Pros: I brought this because i do hobby brewing etc on a small scale. I've got standardised 50g weights for calibrating my (non-DX) 50.00 g scales and wanted to be sure my scales were accurate down at the lower end. It seems to be fine, after calibration this weight showed 5.00 g.

Cons: Very small and potentially easy to lose! Seems to be simply chromed metal, which suggests it may begin to corrode at some point (potentially changing its weight)

Other: cheap and accurate.

Pros: - Accurate weight
- Nice for calibration purposes
- Looks very neat after I cleaned it
- Very small so it looks like a gadget

Cons: - Expensive
- The handle is not glued properly, it is not in the middle
- Mine came very dirty, but a night in cola resolved this problem
- It does not have the "5" inscripted as seen on the photo's

Other: It looks very funny and therefor could be used just by putting it somewhere in sight. Mine does not look very nice because the top is not in the middle. Buy it if you like and need it!
