Protective Plastic Case for 3.5" SATA HDD (Translucent)

Pros: It's a very tight snug case. I'm using Seagate Barracuda HDDs so it's somewhat understandable.
It works just as it's described. The HDD won't shake or move in the case and it should take a few bumps.
Build quality is good with a tight latch.

Cons: Hard to get HDD into and out of the case the first time. Tight fit
Will prob absorb shocks but not shaking (you shouldn't be shaking your HDD in the first place)

Other: It's a pretty decent case for moving your HDD around. I would not advise using this case for shock proofing your HDD (there are better case for that in DX) but good enough if you need to drop the HDD into your backpack.

Pros: -PERFECT, Fits 3.5 HDD's Super Snug, and its just what every person needs who has a Hot Swap Dock on their Desk, It Is so Sturdy, and basically the thing i have been missing for storing Open End HDD's, Great Transparent Colour, and The Little Foam in the pop lid, holds the hdd in tight.

Cons: These arnt made for people who want to have this inside the Case, and Obviously not to be used with the hdd on, because If you know anything about computers, HDD's get very Hot when on, and this thing isnt made for as an External Case. Like those made out of aluminium

Other: Get this if you are a person with lots of HDD's lying around, you will not regret it, because protecting your info/data is a serious, and for a measly 4 dollars you cant go wrong.

Pros: Cheaper than the branded one's that generally go for about $10 a piece. The case is from hard plastic and durable. Hard drive is left enough space in the case to get out easily and protect it when it drops from your hands.

Cons: The white isn't really white, more grayish. like. (But who cares anyway) They are made to be stacked, but don't keep together that much.

Other: No major problems with this casing. They are cheap and durable.

Pros: I have been looking for cases for SATA hard drives for a long time. These series of cases are perfect if you are using SATA hard drives with an internal or external dock. Lots of colors to choose from. This helps quickly find the hard drive your looking for.

Cons: The only bad part about this case is that it offers only a little shock protection. The latch on the case is also difficult for some people to open. However, I do not have any problems opening the case.

Other: Great for my application. Storage of lots of SATA hard disk drives. Buy this item or one of the other colors and a SATA dock on DX.

Pros: Excellent protecting case for the harddrive - It fits well inside the case and it is way better than storring it in an ESD bag

Cons: The case fits a bit too well and the harddrive needs a firm push to slide inside the caseing. The hinge function is made a bit cheap and my guess is, that after extended use it will break there.

Other: Bought one and was sattisfied - and I will buy a few more within a short time

- By being transparent, easy to locate and identify external drives ;
- Very cheap for the quality and usefulness of the product.

Cons: - Offer shock protection only at one side ;
- Do not offer water or dust resistance ;
- The door lock of the case is difficult to be used, whether to open or close the case.

Other: The product is a good option to save external HDDs. I plan to buy more cases soon.

Other: A very small investment to protect your data. Much more secure than the electrostatic bags.

Pros: I'm building a collection of 1T hard drives used to store and archive television programs and DVD backups. These cases are perfect for storing drives long-term, and carrying them when necessary.

Cons: The major con I've found is their lack of stacking; it would have been trivial to add a simple stacking system or at least catch moldings, but there are none. Placing multiple drives on top of each other is NOT advised, as the plastic will easily slide against the other cases. They need to be stored vertically or beside each other to avoid this problem.

Other: I haven't found anything even close to these cases at anywhere near this price - whether you only have a few drives or a bunch, these cases will help organize and protect them.

Pros: The HDD protective case is very useful when protecting the HDD, as without it, the HDD may get damaged. case is relatively thick so hard to break

Cons: I am not sure if this is stackable, as i have only bought one quantity of this product, however i am going to buy more in the future as more HDD i buy.

Other: Buy more

Pros: Very useful if you use external SATA / IDE hard drives. I'm using those like huge diskettes using an external docking bay, also available on DX. These are great for storing the drives while not in use, in a drawer or a cabinet. Protects the drives nicely from occasional bumps and scratches. Not perfect (See cons) but the best solution I have found so far. Bought 5 of each color.

Cons: However practical and useful, there are some cons: Build quality: - The latch is very difficult for open and close. It's built wrong. I'd like to see a different kind. - There is no seal. No protection from dust, and of course water. For this high grade plastic and such a difficult closure mechanism, why not make it sealed? The plastic work could have been better. A foam makes it seemingly "shock resistant" but this is useless, as the whole case is so tight, the disk will absorb the entire shock. The foam only helps when inserting the drive so it won't bump in the closure. Once inside - no shock resistance.

Other: Have external disks? Get these boxes. Simple.
