Protective Plastic Case for 3.5" SATA HDD (Translucent Green)

Pros: I have been looking for cases for SATA hard drives for a long time. These series of cases are perfect if you are using SATA hard drives with an internal or external dock. Lots of color options. Look for the other colors on DX.

Cons: The only bad part about this case is that it offers only a little shock protection. The latch on the case is also difficult for some people to open. However, I do not have any problems opening the case.

Other: Great for my application. Storage of lots of SATA hard disk drives. Buy this item or one of the other colors and a SATA dock on DX.

Pros: Very useful if you use external SATA / IDE hard drives. I'm using those like huge diskettes using an external docking bay, also available on DX. These are great for storing the drives while not in use, in a drawer or a cabinet. Protects the drives nicely from occasional bumps and scratches. Not perfect (See cons) but the best solution I have found so far. Bought 5 of each color.

Cons: However practical and useful, there are some cons: Build quality: - The latch is very difficult for open and close. It's built wrong. I'd like to see a different kind. - There is no seal. No protection from dust, and of course water. For this high grade plastic and such a difficult closure mechanism, why not make it sealed? The plastic work could have been better. A foam makes it seemingly "shock resistant" but this is useless, as the whole case is so tight, the disk will absorb the entire shock. The foam only helps when inserting the drive so it won't bump in the closure. Once inside - no shock resistance.

Other: Have external disks? Get these boxes. Simple.

Pros: Very useful if you use external SATA / IDE hard drives. I use this case for organized more carefully my Hard Disk because it's really really fragile. With a price like that it's very important.

Cons: Maybe the difficulty to open the plastic case in the first time, but with the wear that will be more simply. Once inside - no shock resistance.

Other: The difference of color is very original because It could be used this box with several device associated, it is very funny for a manaque like me for example:
- Green Case for my XBOX 360 Data.
- Black Case for my PS3 Data.
- Blue Case for my WII Data.
- Red Case for my Personal and important Data.
- White Case for my System Rescue.

Pros: Provides great protection for hard drives that you don't have inside an enclosure. I stopped buying external enclosures a long time ago and I just have a single docking station for all my hard drives now. So these cases are perfect for storing my loose drives in. Also is great that they are stack able. Buying one of these cases from a retail store would cost you about $9.99 so this is a good deal!

Cons: Case can sometimes be a bit hard to open and hurts the finger nails. But at least you know it won't accidentally open.
Hard drive is slightly loose inside compared to the plain clear ones I ordered the first time. But still protects.

Other: If you have a bunch of loose hard drives, buy these now in whatever color you like!
They are great to ensure your drives are protected from dust, static, liquids, and physical damage if transporting like I do.

Pros: This have a good plastic quality. Perfect to store your hdd and keep this from dust, impacts, etc. The available colors will help you to identify your hdd with only a look. I buy several more time ago and now i buy more.

Cons: A bit expensive talking only of plastic. Cover lock could be a bit difficult to close. Maybe other lock type will be better to use in this cases.
