What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Easy to install. - It has two parts so that you can still slide the phone. - All the buttons and holes for plugs are included. - It's a real Blackberry product. - It has an anti-slip backcover. - It's cheap.
Cons: - It doesn't fit perfectly. - There are some raw projections. - No other cons I guess.
Other: I say order it immediately, if you have a Blackberry 9800 at least.

Pros: The protection comes in two parts, one for each side of the slider. I found mine somewhat more stiff than I'd expected, though I didn't mind that at all; it felt like it could withstand some rough handling. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to put both parts on fairly easily, and they didn't feel like they would come off easily of their own accord. The ridged backing was a surprise, and altogether, I thought it looked fairly professional.
Cons: The back piece is, unfortunately, poorly designed. Thanks to that, and what I can only assume was bad production tolerances that resulted in a piece slightly too small, it ended up exerting constant pressure on both ends of the Blackberry's lock/mute bar. This caused the Blackberry to stop accepting hardware button inputs (screen is fine), and if you leave it on long enough, even taking it off doesn't fix things; you'll need to reboot via battery pull.
Aside from that major problem is a more minor one: the harder material does not grip surfaces nearly as well as the default backing material.
Other: Thankfully, I only lost a few bucks on this. It's entirely possible it was just luck of the draw and I received a bad unit. Still, I saw no obvious defect in the product, so I've no idea whether a different one would actually resolve the issue. I really wanted this to work out, but as it stands this is completely unusable.
