Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Cheap Price
Cons: - I've already lost 2 of the rubber stopper for the ping pong balls after 2 crash. Need to put rubber band to stop the ping pong ball to fall afterwards.
Other: There're different opinion about the training gear would change the behavior of the heli. But in the beginning, I rather have it on until I get used to all the controls.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great Price. My local hobby store in Australia sell these exact same training legs for $17AU which works out to be about $15US.
Cons: None
Other: If you are going to fly your heli for the first time and want to break as little parts as possible, then you should get yourself these. Best price anywhere.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good wide footprint and light weight so it does not add a lot to the helicopters weight.
Cons: The middle plastic baseplate is very weak and mine broke within the first few minutes of using it. The little silicon grommets used to keep the balls on are easy to loose.
Other: Find an alternative like learning to fly over a soft surface.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: not too heavy and helps keep my heli in one peice, helps balance out flight angle too
Cons: the little plastic bits to keep the ping pong balls on get lost too easy, its all quite flexible too so wont help if your landings are quite forceful
Other: great to help you get used to an rc heli and help avoid damage
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: i am very new to rc helicopter i received my first walkera 4# yesterday and still very much in the process off learning and these training legs have saved my heli from damage time after time after time
Cons: they could be bit more user friendly
Other: if you buy this
here is a guide for installing it to your heli http://www.helitown.com/TrainningGear.html READING THIS IS A MUST will save you alot of time
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: They are easy to assemble and will save you a lot of money if you're new in the game! Light weight and fits all smaller helicopters. I use it on my Kyosho Caliber 400 XP and it works just great!
Cons: The silicone tube-bites to hold the ping-pong balls aren't the best, but some glue will do good. There should be some way to easily mount the legs on and off.
Other: Don't hecitate, just buy! This is much cheaper than you'll ever find in a local RC-store.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Put them on my esky lama to protect the landing gear. On carpet, these are really not needed. Outdoors, these are a must have item for any new flier. The extra weight from the gear helps stabilize the helicopter as well.
Cons: Came in many pieces when it arrived, and ping pong balls were crushed. Got the krazy glue out and was able to fix the assembly.
Other: If you are new to helicopters, this will definitely help you. Much better (and cheaper) than investing in multiple sets of landing gear.

Pros: Can somebody please post a pic of how it goes together and goes into the heli? I didn't get any instructions, and the pix don't seem to help me any. (Seems like they show a construction that can't work.)In the service to follow Deal Extreme's rules, I must post more characters to reach their imposed MINIMUM of 500 characters. I cannot help it if I'm concise. Thanks, Bil
Cons: No instructions are included with item helicopter training legs.
Other: No pix, no instructions, no good....to me.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Just received mine today, and they actually quite good for what it cost. Sticks are made from solid carbon and I think should be strong enough to carry the weight of small to medium version heli. And no its not a ping pong ball! its made from plastic, quite hard so it wont get squashed easily
Cons: Would be good if it comes with image instructions of how to put them on. Although you can just look it up on the net of how to install them.
Other: for the price you cant go wrong!!!!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Right size for Lama V4 Very cheap
Cons: Too bad it arrived after I got and flew the Lama. Suppose I could use the fibreglass rods for something.
Other: Buy one if you're new to flying. Well worth it.
