R/F Remote Contolled Electrical Appliance Switch 110V~240V

Pros: Works as intended once you connect it correctly. Controlls two circuits independently. Small and light remote control.

Long range. I connected this one to two lights in my basement, and I could be anywhere in my house while operating it. I could even be out in the yard.

Does not seem to be affected by other RF signales, and it does not react to the remote from the similar SKU item 6026.

Cons: You can not select a channel or a combination code for the signal. I guess this means that everyone with such a remote will have no trouble operating your devices. If there is no coding at all, it may also react to other random RF signals, but this have not happend to me.

If you cut the power, the lights will still be off when the power comes back on. You must use the remote to turn them on again.

The control box is not as small as the more expensive ones I find at my local stores, so you might not be able to fit it in your walls or lamps, unless you have enough room where you are going to put it.

Other: Buy this if you want to be able remote control your lights or other devices (max 500 Watt).

Pros: - This is such a great gadget when you've got it up and running! - Nice build quality. Both the switch and the remote - It has great range! I can turn on the lights when standing outside my house.

Cons: - Not very easy to install when you lack electronics skills
(Partly due to bad manual)

- When te power is cut from the box the appliances connected to it will automaticly turn off. If you put power back on they stay off.

- If you lose the remote you cant turn on your appliances

- Like i said, bad manual

Other: If you know you can make this work, which is pretty simple, than this is a great gadget for you.

Pros: +++ small item, can be hidden anywhere, under couch, in a lamp, behind tv, behind computer,..
+++ works from >10 meters distance, havent tried it out any further
+++ screws so easy to put cables in and fixate
+++ small remote and a safety clip on teh remote, I love that feature

Other: Just buy this great (actually small lol) gadget

Pros: It really works as expected. And also, you can modify it to use several of the in the same area. Just disassemble both the remote and the receiver and apply some solder on some of the pads arranged in lines, don't forget to solder the same ones in the receiver and the remote.

Cons: Might be a bit complex to wire for a COMPLETLY newby in electronics, but with only the indications on the cover, it is very simple to wire

Other: Works great, the case is not to be showed, hide it anywhere because it is small

Pros: - Very good build quality.
- The remote control ís small and beautiful.
- The central unit is small.
- It works very far of your central unit. If you put his antenna out of his building you can use from far away.
- This product is very cheap. In my country it cost more than $30 and control only one circuit! This product can control two circuits.

Cons: - This product should be sent with a installation manual because it only has a draw that shows the circuit diagram, but it is not sufficient for persons who doesn´t have experience with eletrical installation. But it is not difficult to install.

Other: It is very useful if you have a big house you can put this to control external lights to your security and you can switch from inside your house.

Pros: + Great gadget easy to install and use + Low low price + My 3-year old is able to use it + Reasonable build quality + works from all over my house + connections shown on top of receivers cover - you will never lose it

Cons: None really if you know a little about wiring and is able to interpret the cover

Other: Bought three of them because I worried about quality - absolutely no reason to doubt the quality/price. My family is now asking where to buy this item ;-)

Pros: - It works as it should work, no problems. - In open air conditions it has a high operating range. - The price is extreme low. - If has an quit straitforward circuit, so it is easy to modify.

Cons: - If you are not familiar with electronics, it might be a little tricky to connect. -If you build the receiver inside a box, the operating range is drasticaly reduced. -The receiver does not have the possibillty to connect to an external antenna.

Other: I modified them to work on 24V AC and changed them to work as a momentary switch. So, now the are usable to open and close my fence. I got ten of these from DealExtreme for the price of one simular here in a local electronics shop.

Pros: - Very good price - Can be turned into a momentary switch easily - Can be modified to switch nearly any* AC/DC circuit which does not operate on 125/230 VAC (e.g. garage doors) * limited by the specifications of the relay (Songle SRA-24VDC-CL)

Cons: - A bit of DIY-work (soldering) required to program addresses for operating multiple units within the same region - When used with 230 VAC at least one component (78L05) operates above recommended operating conditions (Vin measured: 26 VDC, max. recommended: 20 VDC, absolute maximum: 30 VDC)

Other: Buy it and it will work as expected. If you need to operate several units at the same region or want to enhance/modify functionality be prepared to do some easy soldering ;)

Pros: it's the new clapper! great for lights or anything you need remote on off. you will find uses for it immediately. seems to be fairly sturdy build. it's a small unit so it doesn't take up too much space,and has a way to screw it into something so it isnt hanging.

Cons: You MUST have it wired correctly, i found out the hard way. the instructions are horrible, eventhough things are labeled it doesn't becomee apparent until after you have it wired correctly. the space they give for the wires are too tightly packed together, sometimes hard to fit all the wires together in sucha confined area

Other: i have found at least a dozen things i could use this for and i just got it 4 days ago. so it may seem useless initially but when you have it youll say hey what about here and there
