  • An excellent ir remote control for your Canon DSLR

    posted by darkauron79 on 02:53:15 G7T 18/07/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: The remote although at first seems a toy then demonstrate their usefulness. It has a compact size, ideal to take anywhere and work at a distance of approximately 5m. It has 2 functions, normal shooting and bulb for long exposure images. Thanks to this remote that I can not forget the cable used so far.

Cons: The price is too low and it does not seem to find problems with it. Surely it is a product so cheap one day I stop working well although the remotes are not as easily damaged. I see nothing wrong and it's cheap little above can be ordered

Other: If you own a canon DSLR camera and want a command to shoot away and forget about wires this is yours. Its compact size and ease of use allow us to use it anywhere with no problem. A command that is sure to go very well for users of Canon. Assure that your camera is compatible with infrared and the Canon 40D for example not admit this command.

  • Simple functioning, and it works

Pros: Makes you able to remotely trigger your camera wirelessly. There's a flip switch so that you can decide to shoot right away, or start the 2 sec or 10 sec timer. works in many different angles on distances up to ca. 6 meters.
Compact - fits in every camera bag.
Tested on 60D and 500D. I guess all Canon EOS would work

Cons: restricted range on the IR transmitter gives you only about 6 meters range in daylight.

Other: A cheap and simple way to remotely trigger your camera, for taking long exposure pictures or wildlife pictures, so that you don't scare the animals.

  • RC-6 Cheap Remote works!

posted by ammama on 02:18:25 G12T 27/12/2011 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Useful when you want to control the instant of the shot better than with automatic delay (e.g. to make sure that all the people in a group photo are ready and smiling and nobody is sneezing)
    - Indispensable for BULB operation
    - It is cheap
    - It works but not always in fluorescent lamps environment!!!!
    - Range is at least 5 meters as specified.
    - No need for instructions it is very easy to use; mode selection button (0 and 2 sec delay) is marked as well as the battery drawer opening method.

Cons: - Does not work sometimes in places lit by fluorescent lamps which are virtually everywhere nowadays (incandescent lamps are out).
    - Opening the battery drawer is pretty hard.

    Other: Useful in some situations
Beware of fluorescent lights (I had an embarrassing moment before a group of people when it did not work)

    Pros: Cheap!
    Works with Canon 60D!
    Good build quality
Good range, tested with 3 meters and it worked without problem.
Small, you can put in your camera bags

Cons: None so far. It took a while to make it work but it was the camera configuration. The drive mode must the the one with a remove control as symbol.

Other: Great product, works like a charm with my Canon 60D, good price and range. Very handy when you have to take pictures of yourself, I don't have to configure the camera and run anymore, just have to use the remote control.

Pros: -Cheap -Works great with any Canon product -Functions the same as a remote from a camera shop -Has a switch on the back to let you delay the shutter by 2 seconds, as well as instant shutter -Small and minimal as can be

Cons: -Range isn't that great since it's IR -Probably has a range of 4-5m -Won't work well in areas with fluorescent lighting
