Rechargeable 2-Model 19-LED White Light Flexible Neck Desk Lamp w/ Clip (110~220V / 2-Flat-Pin Plug)

Pros: Nice big clip, shaped like a crocodile's head. I bought one for my son (he's 4 years old) to have his own bed-lamp in his room. It easily clips to his bed and stays in place very well. He likes this lamp a lot. In case he wakes up at night, he can turn the light on himself. Because it contains a rechargeable battery, it doesn't connect to a power outlet/socket in the wall. (Except when it needs to recharge, ofcourse. But according to specs it should work for 5 hours on a fully charged battery). I believe this is a safer solution than a lamp that is comtinuously plugged in to a 220V wall socket. Also it is a practical solution, because there is no wall socket in his room on the side where the bed stands. No need to mess around with extension cables etc. Seems to have a good build quality. I don't think the clip would easily break. And it's a nice big lamp.

Cons: The on/off button is a bit hard for my 4-year-old son to operate. It needs to be pressed somewhat firmly. But perhaps it only takes getting used to. There isn't a lot of difference in brightness to see between the 2 'on' modes. The LED lights might even be too bright. But we simply turned the flexible neck towards a wall for indirect lighting. And explained to our son that he should not look directly into the light because it'll hurt his eyes. (it is also advised on the manufacturer's packaging to have adults instruct children that will be using the lamp).

Other: It's a great lamp, our son loves it, also because of the 'crocodile' shape. I would recommend it if you're looking for a practical lighting solution to use in a bedroom, study, garage, etc. Especially if there is no power socket within reach. DX also sells similar clip-on desk lamps, not shaped like a crocodile, if you're looking for a more 'serious' design. Also there are standing lamps that don't (need to) clip onto furniture. I guess there's lamps at DX for anyone's needs! For us this lamp is most suitable, and we're happy we bought it :-)
