Pros: -Very nice build quality -5Watt high power output - Headset available by DX - Automatic squelch - Long range in open terrain(tested distance 8km) - Very long stand by period(I left it on all night and it still worked the day after)

Cons: - Ultra High Frequency only (can be converted) - Does not ship with programming software - Does not ship with headphones - Does not ship with data cable - UHF is very sensitive for solid objects - Line Of Sight is reccomended for large distances

Other: Very good value for money.

Pros: These are easy to program and feel quite solid. They have a good battery life and are better build quality than the baofeng. The range is pretty high, had a few km out of these whilst inside one minibus to another and they work great with the hand held microphones. Very little noise when transmitting/receiving, clear audio.

Cons: The charger is a little plastic but functionally works fine. I have one dead of these and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a programming issue. The 'brick' just lost it's programming one day and now it wont even connect to the computer. When I turn it on, I hear a faint pop, but that's all - I still love the working ones though

Other: I bought a few of these as well as other brands. As the cheap ones go - these are better.
