Red Laser Module - Focused Line (3.5V~4.5V 16mm 5mW)

Pros: Generates a nice bright focusable straight line. Solidly built and easy to disassemble.

Cons: none.

Other: Buy it!

Pros: Fit and finish is excellent. Bright line, easily adjustable focus. Seems 100% compatible with the popular "Aixiz" modules.

Cons: None that I can think of...

Other: Good bang for the buck.

Pros: Excellent build quality and finish. Easily focussed to a crisp line. Nice and bright when properly focussed.

Very easy to use. Connect the module up to an appropriate power supply, focus, and do whatever you bought this for.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other: Simple and cheap option if you need to project a line onto anything (e.g. walls for tiling, hanging pictures etc).

Pros: This is a good and cheap laser module, the power is really god (It's not even comparable to those cheap laser diodes that you can buy for a buck in your town) Focused line can be useful for a lot of project, it's up to your fantasy. It accepts a wide range of voltages, and the optical output doesn't dims much with the voltage.

Cons: Really i can't think of any cons...

Other: It's worth the moneys it costs.

Pros: I use this for a laser 3D scanning project and it works just fine like much more expensive lasers. I've tested this laser module with power supply up to 12 Volt and it works flawless. Easily focusing of the laser line by screwing the top.

Very bright and good quality.

Cons: Nothing I can think of. You need to get the power supply.

Other: Get it while it last!

Pros: I used these lasers in my cross hair (I used two of them) project on my MechMate CNC Machine. They worked well and seem to be holding up fine. At $4 it's hard to beat the price. The wires seem to be long enough also.

Cons: I worry about the focusing lens coming loose or out of focus with vibration over a period of time. I guess you could use lock-tite to fix them into place if needed.

Other: Worth the money, just be willing order ahead of your need as they take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

Pros: - Will work very well for my 3d camera based scanning project :)
- For the price, it is very well bult
- Easy enough to power it

Cons: Not much to complain about, only real issue is the line tends to seperate into individual dots at the edges if you use it more than a few feet away from the laser, although it would still be fine for almost any use (It still makes a usable line).

Other: Would be useful for making sure pictures are hung straight, or all sorts of CNC machines and 3D scanning projects :)

Pros: Very nice thing. Red beam. Projects one red line in angle of approx. 90 degrees. The line is focusable by rotating the lens. Heavily built metal case. Red and black wire for easy soldering. Beam quite strong. Could be very good for lightning up your DIY laser projects..from disco to EAN reader or holograph scanner.

Cons: I ordered more of these and must say, that all of them are not of the same quality. The case and wires are always the same and very good, but ability to focus the line varies. Some pieces are able to make thinner line than other.

Other: Go, get it.

- The line is brighter then I tought
- It have a focusable lens that helps to put the line very thin

Cons: The main specification about Diode (Solid state laser is a kind of diode) is how much current you need to put the device ON correctly. It's important because i can calculate a resistor necessary to delivery the CURRENT at specific voltage (you can choose any voltage), so i expected current ratio in the specs of ALL diodes in DX, not the voltage.

Other: Buy it if you need a laser line...

Other: I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of the laser. Buy it if you need a line laser or even if you think you may need one in the future.
