- Good quality, it's a little bit(just little) less solid in it's position than the original, BUT:
- It makes no stupid clicking sound like the original does, but still is solid enough!
- You won't get them anywhere else so easy!

Cons: - The price is not a typical "cheap DX price", but it's really worth it, if you want to repair a DS where the hinge got lost!

Other: just get it, if you need it!

Pros: This is actually 2 pieces: the hinge that keeps the DS open at the correct angle, and the metal collar that goes on the opposite side to protect the cables.
Fits perfectly in the DS Lite.

Cons: The collar is the old style, with the slot in the side. I prefer the whole-ring, new style personally, but this is really just a preference.
The hinge feels rather loose. It doesn't have that satisfying CLICK the original part has. Easily goes past the open position.

Other: If you need to replace the hinge in your DS Lite for any reason, grab this.

Pros: Fits perfectly.
Doesn't make any sound when you open your DS Lite.

Cons: Bit expensive.
The O ring is kind of weak you can bend it with your hands.

Other: If you're gonna replace your DS Lite case I recommend you to buy this part too. It doesn't make that annoying click sound when you open your DS Lite. Works great!

Pros: There isn't really a lot to say about this product. It's just like the original part and does the job just as well. It's perfect for repairing DS Lites that have come to you with a broken hinge, because many people often will lose the hinge shaft in the breakage, not realising it's a vital part for repairing the DS Lite. I have used it to repair a DS Lite in this condition.

Cons: There aren't really any cons. It looks and feels just like the original. It's sturdy and works well. I can't fault it.

Other: The bottom line is, even though it might seem like a bit of money for a small part, it's invaluable to you as a repairer (either professional or hobby) and works just like the original. I doubt you could get better anywhere else but Nintendo themselves!

Pros: Excellent replacement! Holds like the original. Build quality is ok. It came with the ring but I still prefer to use the original. Works as tight as the original. Now my DS screen doesn't fall off when I'm playing. LOL. Build quality is ok, but it's on the inside so as long it works as it should, it's perfect. My DS doesn't also has that clicking sound when it's at work.

Cons: For $2.56 that you pay it's all worth what it's intended for. Just the same keeping it at no more $2 is more appealing. The price here on DX is also the cheapest you'd find. So I'm not really complaining here.

Other: Get this hinge if you really need to change a broken one. If it's your first time to open up a DS lite I suggest to trying learning off guide vids at youtube.

Pros: The hinges on NDS LITES are notorious for breaking. This item is the perfect replacement item for a broken NDS lite hinge. Note that replacing a hinge on an NDS is time consuming. You need to be careful and patient.

Cons: I can't think of any problems with this item.

Other: Overall, this is a great item at a great low price. Make sure that you don't need a new replacement case and not a hinge. It is very hard to actually break the hinge.

Pros: Relatively affordable pricing

Cons: It worked great upon installation, but only for the first 10 seconds. After closing the lid for the first time after installing the shaft, it broke in half. And since it broke cleanly, each half were stuck in their respective slots, and I have no way to take them out. Now I have no idea how to open up my top lid to replace with another shaft.

Other: Most reviewers here were satisfied with a functional product, but it seems I got the contrary. I am quite confident with my installation too, so I can't quite get what went wrong here.

Pros: I had a broken NDS hinge. I bought this as a replacement. I installed it. It functions, much like the original hinge. -Looks like it’s made of metal, but I suspect it’s made of an organic ferromagnetic polymer made by xenomorphic aliens. The tolerances were quite good, and it fit in the original (and an aftermarket) case snugly. It offers a bit more resistance than the original hinge (which for me, is a good thing).
