  • Don't buy this if you want to replace screen!!!

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Well, it looks nice and shiny.

    Cons: This is not the item to buy if you are replacing a broken screen on an iphone. It is impossible to peel off the digitizing part of the touchscreen off the glass you are replacing without destroying it. You need the one with digitizing stuff built in, the two little cable bits coming off it.

    Other: I can't see what this is useful for. Buy the other one if you need to replace your screen.

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: It is a very cheap option to replace a broken glossy screen for your Iphone. It probably costs less than 25% of the price of a full display set.

    Cons: The con is not in the product itself. It does what it should. The con is in the instalation. As it was build to not be replaced, it's completely glued in the display. (this caracteristic avoid dirt in between). So removing the defective broken glossy screen may be very dificult and requires some skill. So before buying this item, refer to a manual.

    Other: Cheap, useful item. Once again DX.com nailed it.
