What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Direct switch replacement. Fits on pads just like original. Quick and easy to replace if you have the skill and a really small soldering iron.
Cons: This button takes slightly more power to depress than the original but is barely noticable in gameplay.
Other: A great cheap repair that only takes about 10-15 minutes. Definitly a good value.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Excellent replacements to cure the usual problems of sticky or reluctant to register buttons
Cons: SMALL , now we are talking very small, if you are not competent at soldering or have a soldering iron with tip bigger than a needle give this one a miss. The DS phat buttons are a breeze compared to this
Other: Not one to be trying on your first time out - it is very easy to overheat the button or remove the track from the board. However with good soldering skills it is a breeze

Pros: Great price for these buttons in small quantities - normally you need to buy these in larger quantity. Direct replacement for the OEM part.
Cons: Very small and vey fiddly to install. Don't sneeze or you'll probably loose them.
Other: If you use your DS a lot these buttons will likely fail at some point. If you have the skills to install them, or know someone who has, then these are the replacement parts you need.

Pros: -To me, these feel better than the standard ones. More satisfactory to push. The button cap is soft and rubbery (not solid plastic like the standard buttons), but it's harder to press. I'd say it has a little more travel.
-Direct replacement part. These are not easy to find! Thanks DX!
Cons: -This is not an easy install. You always run some risk of ruining your DS even if you know what you're doing.
-Duds happen - of the 4 buttons I ordered (2 pairs) one was a bit flattened (crushed?). I didn't bother asking DX for a replacement since they're so cheap and I only needed 2, still have 1 spare.
Other: When your R/L buttons start acting up, and blowing doesn't fix the issue... if you're confident with a soldering iron, and are willing to accept the risk involved, then go for it.
Better order more than you actually need. It's not like the cost is prohibitive ;) Best case, you'll have spares.
I recommend a small soldering iron (15 watts, tops) with a fine tip, solder flux, solder wick, and needle point tweezers.

Pros: WORKS GREAT. These are SUPER hard to find, and NEVER this cheap! Finally, I don't have to tear apart broken DS's I buy second hand, I just have these! my shoulder buttons always go out in every handheld I own (besides my PSP... hm...) so these are a damn GODSEND.
They work GREAT so far, for me.
Cons: Must be soldered. Not really a con, but important to know - it doesn't just snap in. you could possibly disassemble and add the likely broken snappy disk into yours, if these are constructed the same way as the NDSL stock ones are, I don't know.
Other: GET THEM. GET A WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM. GET A FEW 100,000 OF THEM AND BATHE IN THEM.
Thank you DX for stocking these!

Pros: Very cheap and the postage is really fast
Cons: it is a lot smaller than the picture looks and a little hard to install
Other: Buy this if your L or R buttons dont work right
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Fits perfectly, nicer clicky feel than original ds lite buttons.. o.O dirt cheap from a person used to repair soldered components, it's pretty easy to install, was expecting some trouble but worked the first time
Cons: None, except maybe it has to be installed but that's not a con for me. I wish I had both buttons changed since it's not the same clicky feel as the original parts
Other: No brainer, buy it, it's perfect.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: They're nice. I can't tell which is better, the factory default ones or these ones.
I had to fix my R button because it didn't work, but I decided to swap both of them for these since I might as well.
Good if you don't like your buttons now
Cons: Very hard to install. Compared to the on/off switch (which I also had to install) it was way harder (the on/off took one attempt to fix). Keep in mind that this was the very first time I had to do something like this (solder new parts on to a circuit board with a lot of precision), I think I did ok. Maybe it would have been better to try it on something not worth about 80$.
On the good side, my DS now turns on. The bad side is that I can no longer play games that require the right button :(
Other: Buy at least 3, maybe more. I lost one, messed up on the soldering on 2, got one working (left). The last one I messed up on also made my right button no longer functional :(
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I had to get these to replace a bad L trigger (Metroid Prime Hunters, lol), and they did the trick perfectly!
Cons: TINY TINY TINY.
You're going to need a nice desk with good lights for this. Maybe even something you can bring closer to eye-level.
Other: Buy these. And don't forget a tri-wing driver.
