Replacement Housing Case for NDS Lite (Camouflaged)

Pros: This replacement shell looks great and made my pink DS Lite look more manly. all parts arrived and even a little camo stylus. nice exterier finish and is wipe clean. GBA port cover fits well and blends in

Cons: ok its cheap not quite the same feel as the original shells from nintendo, the stylus needed finishing with some wet and dry paper so it wouldnt scratch. also edging could be better but easly sorted with some epoxy and wet and dry paper.

Other: Cheap but not nasty.

Pros: The box is not very expensive and it was beautiful, all the buttons and screws are supplied, a pen and a cache GBA port of the right color. Not too difficult to be replaced by being patient and being careful to switch on / off fragile.

Cons: There is no installation instructions, but easy to find on the net how to disassemble the Ds. What is worse is the entourage white screens, the assembly is not perfect but does not see this too, and I got 2 buttons right rear instead of a left and a right. : (

Other: Cheap and very beautiful.

Pros: My sons DS had the dreaded broken right hand side screen holder problem. After looking at all the models and colours he decided on the macho camoflauge version. After finding disassembly instructions on the web, went about replacement the shell. All up in the end the is pretty easy. The kit comes with everything you need, screws and the whole lot.

Cons: The silver buttons are a bit cheap and shiny and do look a little tacky.

Other: If you want a replacement housing then buy this item. As long as your kids don't use their Nintendo DS in the forest or similar

Pros: It fits perfectly and does the job.
Also; this way you can give your DS a personal touch.

Cons: The slides for power and sound are somewhat hard to slide.
Best to make them slide smoothly before assembly.
The edges are not colored; just color them black with a waterresistant marker.

Other: When the casing is broken, this replacement is a terrific solution.

Pros: (Much) cheaper than other models available in DX

Includes replacement for upper screen cover and touch screen frame
Also includes the inner cover for the tactile pen, the metal cover on slot1, etc.
I've also had a "shock" cover and it didn't include most of these items, so you have to "recycle" tem from the previous cover, making the process a little longer.

Cons: The power switch doesn't slide very well, may need some filing-sanding
One of the shoulder buttons also required some work before it worked OK (check for audible "clicks" before screwing the bottom cover.

Other: Cheap and quite different from others

Pros: Very well built, includes EVERYTHING, from screws to both screen frames.

Cons: The only missing stuff when I got it were the 2 front buttons' springs. I had to salvage them from the original case. The on/off slider required some filing.

Other: Get it, this is a really good deal. Before this one I bought a cheapo transparent-blue replacement case that was a real headache. This one has been a bliss :)

Pros: it looks nice and smells great cuz its fresh. brand new and looks awesome.
although i dont know how to put it on. im still trying to make it work but my screen died.

Pros: Now this is a premum feel case, once this was put together it looked and felt better than the original boring black one it replaced

Cons: A few minor niggles, if you have never recased a D lite bofore then - no it is not the easiest thing in the world to do, and no you do not get any instructions. a few parts need a little bit of sanding to make them slide nicely

Other: Buy this one and give it a go, it looks and feels quality

Pros: Just got ours recently, and wanted to comment that ours was sprayed over a black case, not clear like another reviewer got - the buttons, power, ABXY, dpad, Volume, Start and Select, are all chome painted plastic- not clear or white like the picture. (L+R are painted with the case)
The Monitor bezels are black.
It's been said elswhere, but you can't even tell this thing is painted - there is a clear coat over the paint that makes it feel in your hand like one of the original DS's. VERY well done!

Cons: Not really a con, but be aware that the Case has no printing on it - (ie the word power is missing from the area above the power switch, select and start are missing, volume is missing. The buttons ABXY are printed with the respective letters in white print.

Other: A very cool custom case - My Kid can't wait till I get this working and he can show it to his friends!
EVERYONE has a DS...
NO ONE has a Camouflage one!

Pros: The build quality is very excellent, feels like a real DS. My hat goes off to the people that made this one.

Cons: The buttons are chrome (puke) In my opinion if you use these it would make the DS look “tacky” How ever I reused the black ones from my old case and let me tell you SWEET
You need to sand the power and volume to get them to slide nicely.

Other: This case made me a hero not only with my own kid but with my boss and my bosses’ kid. So much so that I now have four more DS that need to be fixed.
