Replacement Housing Case for NDS Lite (Translucent Blue)

Pros: Its made from same hard plastic like the ds original ones, its blue clear not like shown in pics, its darker than it looks but its better that way.

Cons: The stylus is not made well, the volume and power switches are hard make fit in, the start and select buttons aren't tall enough,
there aren't enough screws but you can use the ones from the original case.

Other: You should buy one and have someone else to install it for you if you can't do it yourself because its really hard if you don't have a guide or something to guide you, just google and find how to change ds replacement case.

Pros: Warning: don't unplug touch screen when changing cases it is a B^*^h to get back on This is a perfect replacement to the original Case came with everything needed to look like the DS came with this case Sturdy build made of good strong plastic
everything fit flush.

Cons: the two rubber feet are missing the adhesive backing but not that back cuz you can use the original ones instead or just put some double sided tape on them.

Other: get it if you like the color but make sure you can install it first check the install guides and stuff before buying.

I might get another one to mix and match.

Pros: - Good build quality, seems very like the official DS cases in many aspects. All the console details are printed on the back of the case as per Nintendo, and all screws and bits are included.

Cons: - For some DS lite consoles, there will be some white rubber over the chips on the motherboard. You will need to unscrew the stylus slot and remove a square block of plastic from the case for it to fit properly.

- BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. I can't stress that enough. Both me and a friend bought this case from here, we've done case mods in the past on various systems, and both of us managed to break the power switch off the motherboard when installing this new case. It's very fragile, so TAKE YOUR TIME. Also, the bottom screen should be kept AS STILL AS POSSIBLE, we also both gave the ribbon cables of our bottoms screens hairline fractures, leaving them useless.

Other: Get it if you need a new case, but be very VERY careful when installing it.

Pros: Definitely the best value-for-money you will find.
Once fitted looks really cool and professional.
If you have a broken case, this will fix it (provided none of the insides are broken)
Works (almost) perfectly after installation
Has all plastic parts, and replacement screen edging (white).

Cons: Shipping takes a long time (but it is free...)
The build quality is only good, there are a couple of bits which had excess plastic from the mould.
It's tricky to install, find a good tutorial and be careful.
The stylus was slightly to fat, and the tip could scratch your DS (but it is colour matched)
The edging for the screens is white not blue.
It does not come with any screws or metal parts.

Other: If you want/need a new case for your DS this is as good as you will find!
Just make sure you have some technical expertise.

Pros: These cases are some of the best DS replacement cases I've seen! They come in great colours, are consistant, and look awesome. They come with everything needed for the replacement, including new adhesives, all buttons, switches, and screws (all philips head).

Cons: It could be just me, but I installed the volume switch, and it's a bit difficult to move. I have to use more force to get it to slide.

Other: If you know how to use them, buy them.

Pros: Awesome color, same design as a stock DS case only better, you get to see it's guts now!!
All buttons, screens, screws and pads are included...see the pretty pictures!

Cons: There was an extra chunk of plastic that needed to be removed from the bottom portion in order to fit properly. May not be quite as sturdy over time as an original.

Other: Give it a shot, it's worth it, your DS will look cool. People will ooooh, others will ewwww. Lots of other colors and styles at DX, check out them all.

Pros: I used this to replace the broken hinge on my son's DS. His friends love it. Clear blue is not something you see others have, so you're sure to be an original.

Cons: I had to sand down and shave off excess plastic from edges and the power and volumes sliders to make them work (they're too big and grind against the case.) Also, I had to pre-insert then remove the screws from the entire case because they didn't fit and weren't lined up correctly.

Other: If you like the look, buy it. But be prepared to put in a little extra work for purchasing a second-rate housing.

Cons: the screws aren't that great of quality, i highly reccomend using the screws from the original case. the d-pad and start/select button sits a little low so i have to use more force to pause a game. i also wouldn't reccomend using the stylist that came with the case. the end is hard plastic.

Other: a really nice buy for its price. all you need is a tri-wing screwdriver, phillip screwdriver and a thin pointed tweezer.

Pros: Have had it a while now and apart from fine ones it seems fairly scratch resistant, and there are no signs of it breaking at the hinges.
Looks good

Cons: -not a perfect fit and some shaving with a knife required to get it to fit ok
-pain in the rear to do, quite fiddly and annoying and that's from some one who repairs laptops
-screws and screw threads are a bit rubbish

Other: If you (and indeed the ds) can survive the ordeal of disassembly and then reassembly of the ds then the end result is quite good and certainly stands out from the normal ds lites

Pros: I bought this to replace a case on a DS i bought from ebay that had a broken hinge. With this case I could finally hear the satisfying click when you close the DS and also the DS' topscreen is not flimsily held on by the ribbon wire.

Cons: -Extremely hard to put on for beginners
-L and R buttons are a pain to keep in place
-Volume switch was harder to put in that i thought.
-Missing? the power and charge LED "[||)"
- Start and select buttons are lower than original, so I have to press it harder with the finger nail.
- The screw are EXTREMEly hard to screw in, they are so tight!

Other: In the end I was satisfy with the product, now my DS looks unique and clean. Thanks DX!
