Replacement Housing Case for NDS Lite (Translucent White)

Pros: -Good price -Durability is great for the price paid -Clear stylus and clear GBA slot is included -Basically everything is included with this product (screws, buttons, and screen frames).

Cons: -Very hard to put into this shell.
-You need lots of time and plenty of patience with this housing.

But this goes for every case you want to change so you need to deal with it.

Other: Overall a great product and after the difficulty of taking everything apart and back together again it is well worth it. This is because of the great look you'll have for your DS lite.

Pros: nice and clear. got the stylus and the gba slot of the same clear color.

Cons: The screws are cheap and tend to get lousy on the head.
Need a hell of a work to get it in this shell.
I've had some problem with the triggers becouse they were too tight.
The buttons A B X Y were missing in my pack.

Other: If I could go back I would not install this shell....

Pros: -Nice and firm -clear -comes with anything on the ds that is made out of plastic/rubber/screws -Nice replica

Cons: -installing it is really hard and since you are working with small things it is easy to loose parts
-You have to be really careful. even more careful if you have huge hands

Other: This product is a good buy and i recommend it. It gives the ds a new, unique look to it and also fixes cracked hinges. Overall this product is great.

Pros: Nice price A viable option for replacing a broken/cracked DS Lite case It comes with the springs and metal bars for the shoulder buttons, a clear stylus.

Cons: Setup is not easy, especially considering that many of the screw holes may not line up just right. The slot for the metal ring in my case was actually too small, and had to be sanded down.

Other: If you have a DS lite with a broken shell, this is an acceptable option. Otherwise, stay clear from this case.

Pros: I'm very happy with this. The most complete replacement housing I've ever seen for the DS Lite. Perfect fit, great price, if you know what you're doing, this is by far the best you can get for this price.

Cons: None come to mind really.
Installation was somewhat difficult, but that turned out to be my own fault.
Overall, no real Cons for this.

Other: If you know what you're doing, and you need a replacement case, get this, you can't get better for the price.

Pros: GET THIS CASE if you want a one-of-a-kind DS Lite, got mine, and i decided that i'd paint it, so it looks really cool now and everyone i show it to freaks out.
THIS CASE WAS BUILT TO LAST!!!! other clear housings i've tried have broken over and over and over again, not only does this one hold up, it's way cheaper!!!!!

Cons: the "Y" button was printed upside down :S
screws don't quite want to go in right away, but you can make it work

Other: GREAT aftermarket item, be sure to find a source online of how to take apart the DS Lite, because if you haven't done it before it can be tricky

Pros: It's a great replacement for the stock case. Like many, the left hinge on my DS Lite was cracked, which eventually led to the top screen coming off.
Save yourself the grief of needing a new screen too, get this when you see the cracks forming. It will take you from the shame of cracked hinges to a sparkling DS you will be proud to show off.
This kit has almost everything you need in one package. Doing it yourself is a very rewarding experience.

Cons: I don't know if they are all like the one I got, which was missing the "light pipe" that fits in the right-hand hinge.
The screw for the battery compartment doesn't have the retaining clip that the stock DS-Lite has, the clip from the original doesn't fit, and the original screw won't fit in this case, but it's not a problem if you never change the battery (like most people).

Other: What more can be said? It does a great job of keeping the DS Lite's insides inside itself, it looks fantastic, and you will no longer need to take apart your DS just to see what the insides look like.

Pros: The plastic feels durable and like the original
All the parts fit
Completely transparent
Even the printed text on the back of the DS was there
It comes with a matching pen

Cons: The extra screws that came with it were easily damaged by my screwdriver. I don't recommend using them.

Other: Definitley get it if your original case was broken/damaged (if you like this color). If you want to chage the case for the heck of it (like me), you should realize that its not gonna be easy before buying

Pros: This case looks great once it's all installed. The parts took minimal effort to fit correctly and the plastic is fairly high quality. The lettering on the case is sharply printed, making it look authentic, besides the fact that it is transparent. There's even an indentation where you can put your DS Lite's serial number (which I did).

Cons: The screws that come with it will give you nightmares if you attempt to use them. A project that should have taken 3 hours took almost a day because of a couple broken screw heads. The rubber parts (the screw covers and bumpers) are not color matched. The shoulder buttons are a bit of an ordeal due to the springs. The included stylus, because of the manufacturing quality, will scratch up your touch screen, even if you are careful. Buying a metal handled stylus looks cooler anyway, in my opinion. These are the reasons the "Build Quality" rating is 2.

Other: Why aren't the shells for the DS phat this high of quality? This is a fairly high quality case that requires minimal cutting and shaving of plastic. Hopefully the next time I install one of these I won't have so many problems.

Pros: Well built, everything is labeled almost exactly like it would be on an actual DS case. Even the label on the back is there.

Cons: This is a very difficult process, you don't want to rush into this without knowing what you're doing, you're liable to break/lose something. I broke my bottom screen doing this, everything looks a little yellow on it now.
The case may be made well, but it's not perfect. Specifically the part directly underneath the bottom screen is much flimsier than it is .

Other: Unless you're really good at this sort of thing, I wouldn't recommend it unless your old case is broken. Otherwise, it looks pretty cool.
