Replacement Manual Zoom Lens for CCTV Camera (3.5~8.0mm)

Pros: - nice and cheap zoom lens - gives a "pro" look to the camera :)

Cons: - no IR filter. Markings say just "IR" which makes it confusing; apparently it means it is suitable for cameras that use IR illumination - difficult to adjust each ring separately - quite bulky, would probably not fit on many cameras

Other: Good value for the price. If you can fit it on the camera and need a cheap zoom lens, this is the way to go

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Can't adjust it to "wide" position 'cos it loss focus.

Other: at the moment I can't use it on it's purpose.

Pros: Lighting conditions are good, meaning that also when zoomed in, the iris remains wide enough for good images. Sturdy build, will last a long time when taken normal care of. Comes with a cap to protect the front lens.

Cons: To focus the image, a combination between the two sliders will have to be used: when zooming in, after zooming, the focus will be away completely; the other slider has to be used to correct this. Therefore, if you want to use mainly one zoom level, it may be more handy to get a fixed focus lens (there are many on DX). Sometimes, with certain level of zoom, the distance between the lens and the camera chip will have to be adjusted to get the perfect image.

Other: Great product, though using the two sliders to focus the lens takes getting used to. Considering the price, this is a great product to experiment with at no risk.
