    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: This cable is super convenient. I have bought a couple for both travel, and for permanent use in my car. The retractable nature of the cable saves space and avoids clutter.

    Cons: Beware that the cable itself is very thin, and does not provide much RF shielding. As a result, you may not be able to use the cable while it is retracted, due to the interference caused by the coiled portion of the cable. (Just makes sure to always extend the cable fully before use, and you should not have any problem.) Also, the reel itself is a little flimsy and can be finicky at times.

    Other: Despite the inadequate RF shielding of the insulation, and the flimsy nature of the cable reel, this product is cheap enough and handy enough to buy several of, and keep around wherever and whenever you might need a spare charging USB data cable.
