Pros: High quality build. works with various cables. (4,6 and 8 pin cable) easily use one tool to strip, cut and crimp RJ45 cabling. No guesswork, ends stop where they should for crimping.

Cons: unable to latch shut, takes up more space in toolbox open.

Other: Great bang for the buck. took me less than 3 minutes to make good quality RJ45 cable.

Pros: Just finished to re-wire my home network using this tool. It's a very good quality one, very similar to the crimp tool I used many years ago when worked as computer technician. I believe the last one was much more expensive. You don't need any other tools when using this one - cutter and wire stripper are already there.

Other: If you need to make just one cable this tool is still worth it. I now make all my phone and network cable to custom lengths. No more loose cable hanging from the phone or router.

Pros: This company has thought of EVERYTHING! There are so many little bits to it that make crimping a breeze. For example, near the handles on the inside there are some blades. Not 1, not 2, but 3 sets. A cutter for cutting cable clean off, a cable for removing the protective outer plastic off Cat5e and smaller one for cutting the plastic to expose the bare copper. This thing is solidly built, feels very heavy duty and is well oiled. Nice smooth operation too!

Forget the cheap, crappy yellow cutter thing, the cutter on the crimper is better!

Pros: Works well for most purposes. Not applicable for AMP plugs though, since these babies need a different type crimper. But I'm not complaining, for this price I'm very satisfied with this product.

Cons: Could've have an interchangeble crimp head, but this already has 8, 6 and 4 pin heads so no need. Although it would be nice if it had a CATV head crimper too.

Other: Can't go wrong with the price, and solid performance. Definitely worth the investment. I don't know what I would do without it. Rewiring my network became a no-brainer, and I'm not hesitant in moving furniture around anymore.

Cons: It's a pity there isn't something to hold it together (for storage)

Other: If you make your own UTP cables, buy it.

Pros: Very good crimp tool at a price you can't beat. Crimps 4 6 and 8 pin plugs, and has 3 separate blades to cut and strip wire. It presses al the wires evenly into the connector.

Cons: The tool is not hold together bij a clip or something, so the blades are always exposed.
This can cause some nasty cuts when getting the tool out of the toolbox.

Other: The same tool in shops here cost at least 5 times as much.
