What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: No more to short network cables. Just put it in the extensioner and put another netowrk cable in the other side then you got a long cable insted of a short.
Cons: Nothing works perfectly.
Other: If you are making home networking you sometimes get to short cables and network cables are not so cheap at all. So with this little thing you can just buy some extra meters and then your ready!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Small, durable housing and durable pin alignment.
Cons: Nothing!
Other: This item is great for extending preinstalled cable or if you already have two short cables and don't want to purchase a larger cable. Useful for testing cables when the tester only has a male end.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works really well without any problems whatsoever. The pin alignments are quite good so you won't get loose connections and interruptions.
Cons: Nothing.
Other: The price is great, if you don't want to buy a longer cable, use this to extend the existing. Very nice.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Long cables cost a lot, this is really great saved me a lot of bucks so i could use two smaller wires to get to my girlfriends computer.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Other: Makes you save a lot of money, really cheap, what more can i say ?
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very cheap ($), seems well-made enough.
Cons: The contact pins aren't gold-plated. And since most RJ-45 plugs have plated contacts, this opens up the possibility of galvanic corrosion (key word: POSSIBILITY), which might lead to signal degradation.
Other: While I recommend these (especially given the asking price), I'd be wary about using them in the long-term, especially in humid environments, and/or with very long (combined) cable runs.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Small unit that can be useful - best to have one lying around for times when you need to extend shorter cables.
Cons: The coupler itself does not seem to be well made, in the sense that when cables are hooked up to it, they do not feel steady and have quite a bit of movement. Certainly should not be used for longterm coupling as they might not be as reliable.
Other: For the price, its worth getting a couple as there certainly will be a time when its easier to use these than making longer cables.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Dirt cheap! Quality is better than I'd expected at that price.
Cons: Contacts not gold plated, but if that's likely to be an issue in the environment you're using it in then you really ought to be using a single uninterrupted cable for that run instead.
Other: Good, cheap, useful. Also worth remembering as something to make up an order to a multiple of ten dollars if you're collecting points.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's a perfect product if you find yourself full of short, unused ethernet cables and you need that five meter cable that you just don't have. It saves you quite a few bucks.
Cons: Cheap materials, so it isn't the best choise for very long distances, as stated in another review, but then again the price is unbeatable, and for home use they are exellent.
Other: Works for my lan parties quite well
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Cheap - Small and handy - Good build quality
Cons: - Possibility for loose connections and therefor may not be suitable for mission-critical setups
Other: Handy to have in the network admins toolkit - you never know when you'll need it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It works as well as I wanted it to.
Cons: None that I can think of
Other: It works. It's cheap. I use it a lot.
