What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: Fantastic product, the quality of these RJ-45 plugs is really superb, better than the ones I usually buy at the local store and 10x cheaper as well. The ones I got are from Tyco electronics, they are know for their quality products.
Cons: NONE
Other: I will certainly buy more of these when I used all the ones I just bought. Great price and great build quality!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Cheap, light, and does what it should! They crimp very well and make a secure connection both on the cable grip and the data pins, if you use a decent crimper. I suggest SKU: 3530, as it is a very good crimper.
Cons: These are a bugger to make sure that you get the strands the correct way around. Also you can't push the cable out of the top end, as there is a plastic stopper in the way. This makes it a bit difficult to feed them all in quickly.
Other: Great! Buy a box or two if you make your own cables. I've not tried the AMP ones, so I can't compare it to those.

Pros: Excellent ends for creating your own network cables.
Cons: None that I have found
Other: You Cannot Beat This Deal!

Pros: At DX I get 100 plugs for the same money as 6 plugs in a local store :D Great
Cons: It's a bit hard to see whether the cable is placed correctly or not
Other: If you make your own UTP cables, this is a must have.

Pros: super cheap! very good quality! made in USA AMP brand
Cons: only category 3 performance =(
Other: get it if you are not worried about it not being cat5 or cat5e complient!

Pros: I have used man, many different types of network crimp plugs over the years, and these are just as good as the more expensive ones I have used in the past. They have the little "guide rails" as you insert the cables - very useful for the "loose" type of cat5 and cat6 that are ordinarily impossible to insert properly.
Cons: I didn't buy more!
Other: if you want a quality crimp, get this one.

Pros: Best price I could find for RJ45 plugs. Why spend the same amount (or more) for a 10 or 12 pack at a retail store?
Cons: Once the box starts getting less then about half-full, the bottom can start to fold in on itself, and pretty soon you'll have connectors floating around in the bottom of your bag.
Other: If you need to make more then a half-dozen cables, you might as well get this boxfull. It'll last quite a while.
Note: Please don't shoot at squirrels with these connectors, that was a joke :oP

Pros: This is an amazing deal on these connectors. These are real AMP connectors made by Tyco P/N 5-554720-3. At this price get a box you really can't go wrong.
Cons: The downside is that these are rated as CAT-3 and not CAT-5e connectors. The thing is that there really is no discernible difference as far as the connector is concerned. They will work fine with CAT-5e cable.
Other: These connectors have been made in the US, shipped to Hong Kong and then shipped back to North America for less than it would cost to buy locally. In fact DigiKey are charging $56 + shipping for a box of 100 of these.

Pros: High quality, none has yet failed me (from over 80 used)
Great price
Works fine on gigabit LAN (although I have not tested speeds)
Nice box
Cons: Not really good for stranded cable - you will have a hard time stuffing it in
Other: Great pack for the price, if you make your wiring from solid core cables, you can't go wrong with these.

Pros: Excellent product, can't go wrong with 100 network heads for less than $10USD. It comes in a fairly sturdy box and was in excellent condition when it arrived.
Cons: The only problem I had with these, along with items 1261 (network tester) and 3530 (crimper) is that I cannot pull the cable out after putting it in.
I also tried it with all available RJ45 ports, and they go in fine, but do not come out without use of a shim at all.
Other: Very good product, highly recommend if you can overlook the connection issue.
