ROBOX IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor Module - Red

Pros: - Looks just like the image advertised. - Very small and compact. - Easy to use, header pins just slide into the breadboard or a connector.

Cons: - Sensing circuit is too sensitive. The emitter diode and the transistor are too close and when the pot is turned to full sensitivity ( longest range ) it triggers automatically. - Proximity sensing only goes as far as 20cm or even less. Circuit quality could be better. - Packaging was pretty cheap. Item could have got damaged easily.

Other: The item must be revised and a better description in the webpage. Looks like a solid build and if tweeked a little could be just perfect. My bottom is that there are cheaper ( price ) sensors boards out there and this one for is price is quite modest and effective.

Pros: Can't say much but its working great. I'm using it for our robotics project. A line follower robot.

Cons: None really.
