Sandisk U3 USB 2.0 Flash/Jump Drive (8GB)

Pros: It's a genuine SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8GB flash drive.
Speed benchmark (tested with USBDeview):
- read: 21.74 MB/s (megabytes per second)
- write: 8.86 MB/s
It has U3 software which you can remove if want to (it asks you at the first insert).
It also offers password encryption of the drive.

Cons: None.

Other: It's a must buy for everyone. I could not recomend it more. I've used 4GB sandisk for 2 years now and it never let me down and I bought this one (8GB) just for extra space... If you think about buying Kingston...well, buy this one, you won't regret it.

Pros: Compact, light, and the USB connector retracts inside the body. I am upgrading from a 4GB Kingston Data Traveler (that purple one) and was a bit worried buying "serious" tool on DX. If you know what I mean. But it just arrived and transfered the stuff from the old one to this one. 4GB in about 25 minutes. I think this speed is OK.

Cons: None really. It could be smaller, but small flash drives I had were lost for being too small.

Other: This flash drive got a definitive *VERY* good cost-benefit ratio. So, for a genuine stuff, it is almost impossible to surpass the advantage. I can highly recommend it to you.

Pros: - Has a lots of space (8gb)
- Nice small design
- Nice blinking led on keychain
- Nice price, few bucks lower than original
- U3 default app appeared when keychain was first inserted.. in my own language! nice.
- Speeds are around 16MB/s constant read with big file (my other keychain does it at ~20MB/s with smaller files, but not at this price :)), overall speed is ok

Cons: LCD blinking is in some occasions annoying, but generally not :) Didn't find string to carry my usb keychain around, and I don't have any to use, because in lower back there is string-ready holder. Not a bad thing though, but It could be usefull. Fat32 in default, but you can easily reformat it so ntsc or something like usefull.

Other: Buy, use, destroy, and buy another. Or buy two, three,.. in the start. Great usefull buy, I wish I purchased it sooner, because I love it now

Pros: Good build quality, plastic feels reliable. The retractable connector stays firm to put into the usb port. Pretty small. Useful and nice activity-indicator led. Speed is OK for the price, reasonably fast. Also fast to get recognized by the computer.

Cons: There are smaller similar products. Could have some rubber to be more resistant. Sometimes the led blinks with no activity, don't know why, and that can be annoying.

Other: Very good product, low cost and well built. Good capacity, good speed. For me the best price/performance flash drive.

+ It has a POWERFULL red LED with blinks doing beautifull efects when no use, and blinks once each data is transferred
+ Can not tell difference from original. Really I dont know if this product is original or not. Very good

+ Includes software pre-installed for data encryption
+ "Foldable" connector
+ Can be put on a keychain

Cons: - Not very cheap

Other: Very valuable pendrive of 8gb. 100% Recommended!

Pros: - Great Read\write speed - Small - Lite and compact - Durable (take with me everywhere on my keychain) - Not generic junk you find here on DealExtreme. Lots of these are usually very slow and break very quickly. This is not the case

Cons: - The sliding motion can wear out - hasn't happen to me. - Could be a little smaller

Other: My best Disk on Key - Use it everyday. Fast, compact and cheap. I'd buy it again.

Pros: I bought this to replace an identical flash drive which I lost. It really seems to be the real deal, it's fast (both reading and writing data), reliable (haven't lost any data from it) and very convenient.

Cons: The only con I see is the fact that this is kinda big when compared to other ones we see being sold here in DX.

Other: It's a good buy, if mine fails in some time I'll centainly buy another one.

Pros: USed every Day, never stopped working, never bugged, normla speedy to a USB 2 pen drive, a little more pricy than other but totally worth it. with this size i can carry it anywhere, weightless. very good to use in my car stereo

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do! When inserting it has 7.45 GB of mermory space. Comes with some software on it, just format as soon as you plug it in:) Software is Secureaccess and some kind of bloatware installer. Although it has an autorun on it's root it is not started on my XP or Win 7 machine

Cons: It has does NOT have U3 capability!

Other: Good product as a flash drive but dont expect it to have U3 capability...

Pros: The sliding mechanism lets you hide the USB plug inside the plastic. It is simple to use

Cons: Mine has cracked open after being bumped while connected to the computer. I used super glue to repair it, and it is still working, but the connector is a little bent now.

Other: No major complaints. I probably wouldn't buy a USB stick that opens next time, sticks out from the computer a little far
