What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. An orgasmic product with Unbeatable price.... This satisfied me... I got the pack perfectly and it works with all types of disks! Cool thing!
Cons: Nope... Oh the power plug should be Compatible... I got an funny power plug... however I bought the Universal adapter from DX and that is another cool thing....
Other: MUST HAVE IT... If you need to back up other's HD frequently... however... it is cool in all way!

Pros: It's very USEFUL!... you can convert ANY hard drive (except SCSI of course) in an external drive!, even you can connect to media streamming products (I put it on my WD TV and works perfectly) Es muy útil, puedes convertir cualquier disco (excepto SCSI) en disco externo!, incluso puede conectarse a reproductores multimedia (lo coloqué en mi WD TV y funciona perfecto)
Cons: The plastic used is cheap, but strong enough. El plástico usado en la fabricación es barato, pero resistente.
Other: The cost/benefit ratio is VERY GOOD. It's an EXCELLENT product, a must have if you have some hard drives fooling around. La relación costo/beneficio es MUY BUENA. Es un EXCELENTE producto, debes tener si tienes discos duros por ahí sin usar.

Pros: - It works (even in Linux, and even with EXT2/3/4 formatted hard drives)
- It's tiny
- It's neat
- It's useful
Cons: - Power supply is huge
- Power cable supplied is not compatible with EU plugs
- Instructions unseless (what's the yellow cable for?)
- No on/off switch
Other: Pretty useful and working as described.
I would have liked an on-off switch on the power supply, so that one could swap drives without having to remove the plug, though.
Anyway, it works as it should, and it's price is ok (much lower than cradles, which only work with SATA drives, BTW)

Pros: +Can connect to any hard disk (IDE,2.5,3.5,SATS) +Works with USB, so don't need to open your computer. +Can be used as a repair kit for technicians +High Speed
Cons: -I had to access control panel and run administrative tools. While it is ok with power users, simple users might not understand what and how to do it. -For some disks (I've tried 4), I had to do it each time I restarted. Which makes it unpractical for permanent connection.
Other: Very useful, helped me to recover data. Buy it if you need to recover data once in a while or so. But you will need other product if you want a permanent connection, probably a PCI card.

Pros: Very cheap for what it offers. Can connect hardisks to USB plug.
Muy barato para lo que ofrece. Puede conectar discos al puerto USB.
Cons: It has not been possible to connect IDE hardisk because power for IDE hardisk is not posible directly from this machine. For SATA drives no problem because you can conect power and data cable.
Other: A very interesting machine to connect IDE/SATA drives to USB port. At least for testing purposes.

Pros: Covers all std drives today. Plug and play on my W7 system. Instructions for loading drivers, which are only necessary on pre XP systems.
Cons: No connection instructions. I am skeptical about the PS unit. It is speced at 42.5 Watts. Time will tell. I have no idea what the BACKUP button will do, but I am not interested in that function anyway. No instructions.
Other: It does the job I bought it for.

Pros: It does what it claims. It is easy to use. You can use it on most sizes and types of internal hard drives. Even if your computer dies, you can still recover the data from the hard drive. Everything you need to use it is included in the package. Very handy to have if you like to DIY. I have successfully recovered data from a dead computer by pulling out the hard drive and connecting it to a netbook with this converter. It works, it works, it works!!!
Cons: The build quality could be a little better. My converter broke after I used it a few times. Maybe this was just a fluke, but I think buyers should be aware that this is not for heavy use.
Other: It is still worth they money if you can recover data from your hard drive. It would cost a lot more if you took your computer in for service at a store. Buy this if you want to recover your data from a hard drive.

Pros: I liked the product very much.
It does what it claims to do.
Can connect to a wide variety of Hard Drives.
- Laptop IDE
- Sata and;
- IDE
I bought this one in order to recover my backup from old IDE drives I had lying around.
Cons: Kind of messy with all those cables connecting from HD to adapter and to PC. It is the only con I can think of right now.
Other: It is a good product, If you work with data recovery this is a good product for easyness of use.

Pros: - Pretty good price for a very useful device! - Small and compact - can work with desktop and laptop IDE and SATA drives
Cons: - build quality could be a bit better...certain drives are VERY stubborn when I go to plug them in and I have to actually plug them in at JUST the right angle for it to work because the port on the IDE/SATA USB Adapter is a bit rough around the edges and doesn't plug in smoothly - won't read some drives I've plugged it into...I mostly tested it with two older 20gb and 40gb IDE drives I had around and it worked fine, also tested it with some ancient IDE drives (400mbs-ish) and it would read some of the old drives and others not at all. Probably had something to do with the partition type on the drives as windows would detect that I had plugged a device in, but I couldn't see the device in My Computer or Windows' Disk Manager.
Other: A very good product. Could be better assembled, but bottomling - it does what it says it does and I purchased it mostly to use for backups, so as long as you treat it carefully it should be fine! I would definitely get another one!

Pros: It is pretty cheap. Built quality is ok. It works well with SATA drive.
Cons: Unfortunately it doesn't work with all my IDE drive which are different brand. I bought this item especially for these IDE Hard drives. Power supply cable and its adaptor seems a little fragile. One should be aware and careful.
Other: Work great with SATA drive in hindsight, I would have bought a dock station. It is just easier to have that on my desk instead of this but if you buy it for occasional usage then it is fine
