SATA to 1.8" IDE Hard Drive Adapter Card

Pros: I used this together with a CE ZIF to 1.8" IDE Hard Disk Drive Adapter Card (SKU 20294) to connect a mtron mobi 3018 drive to a regular pc. The mtron is a ZIF ide drive but using this you can connect it to a regular sata connector.
Build quality is excellent.

Cons: Obviously there are some components required to get from IDE to SATA so the price is somewhat higher than other adapters. Also because of the translation there is also some speed decrease, my benchmarks show about 10%.

Other: Excellent combined with the zif-ide adapter to connect zif drives to SATA connectors.
Have been using this setup for about 2 months now without any problems.

Pros: Very useful adapter to have, in order to (re)use some old 1.8" hard disks for some silent storage

Cons: So far, none. The adapter does its job properly.

Other: Overall, it is an interesting product. It's tiny, it's cheap, and it helps you with a format (1.8") that is not too common to interface with.

Pros: Great idea. Easy to use (if you have an application for it). Quality construction

Cons: Not useable in many places. Good only for 1 1/8" IDE socket (as description says). Not for the standard IDE socket on a motherboard. Packaged in a plastic bag, so prongs can easily get bent.

Other: I thought it would convert the IDE slot on my motherboard to a SATA slot. But the IDE side on this card is only 1 1/8" long. Obviously not for a standard IDE socket. Also beware, they ship it in a plastic bag, so a lot of the prongs were bent when I received it. I could straighten them out with a pair of tweezers, but it could have been worse. They should have put a piece of cardboard in the bag to prevent this problem.
