SATA USB 2.0 Hard Disk Enclosure for 2.5-inch HDD

Pros: - Doesn't require external power. - Comes with everything you need, including a screwdriver, so you can get up and running right away. - Very easy installation. - Status indicator LED changes colour depending on activity.

Cons: - The screw holes aren't exactly perfect, so it might require some tweaking before everything fits properly. - It will take up 2 USB ports on your computer. - No internal padding for the hard drive (there is a foamy case for it though).

Other: It works exactly as intended.

Pros: This usb sata enclosure works as intended. Works perfectly on a 100GB 7200 rpm SATA drive. I ran the drive for several hours with no heat problems.

Cons: I prefer screwless cases, but if you plan to put the hard drive in permanently, this is an advantage.

Other: Works perfectly for 100GB SATA. Cheap!!

Pros: Price, quality, ease of installation. Comes with a stylish leather cover.

Cons: none I can think of

Other: Must buy if you have an extra 2.5" drive that needs an enclosure

Pros: - Nice sturdy aluminum case - Integrated activity light and power light onto rear panel

Cons: - Uses USB A Male plug (I hate this, why can't these devices be mini USB like everything else?)

Other: Its about the same price as what I can buy at my local discount computer store but I was ordering some other stuff anyways. If you are too lazy to get to the store and buy one for the same price like me it's a good deal.

Pros: Works as expected, just put hard drive in secured with enclosed screwdriver, screws were enclosed too. plug into my notebook and i can access it as any other usb mass storage piece of hardware.

Cons: Same usb connectors on both ends are realy wierd, usb mini on the enclosure wold be mus more appropriate. Some form of machanical fixing drive inside the enclosure, it just hang on the connectors, but they are quite strong so i hpe they will stand..

Other: I like it and had bougt another one for pata drive it is even bit cheaper.

Pros: A nice little case that perfectly holds any SATA hard drive and the leather case is very nice. My 100GB hard drive fitted in perfectly and the screws went in easily. Te data transfer is very very fast it takes me 16 seconds to transfer 250mb!

Cons: You need 2 USB ports for it to work...why cant it be mini B?
Once you place the the HDD in the enclosure you need to screw it tight using the screws provided.
(I dont like screws, I prefer screwless.)

Other: Grab one to make a cheap external hard drive its better than having a HDD lying around and getting damaged, you will thank yourself for it. Neato

* drive stays nice and cool
* simple led to indicate status

Cons: * usb cable length on the extra power connector was a bit short, my laptop didnt have two usb ports right next to each other but an extension cable solved this

Other: Well priced USB2 external caddy. I used this with a 2.5" sata drive which I had spare after upgrading a PS3 and have used it extensively since then. Managed a good 30mb/sec when copying so it more than definitely works on USB2 and being ally it has that techy kind of look and keeps the drive at a reasonable temp

- Comes ready to hook up a hard drive to out of the box
- dual colour led - constant green for power on and flashing red for data access
- has a nice shiny/smooth finish
- has fast data transfers
- even has a small bit of foam inside to hold the drive securely

Cons: None, this thing is fantastic

Other: A great USB2 sata enclosure for a great price. Buy one, it'll come in handy

-Always stays nice and cool
-Works well with Vista 64bit
-Great for traveling

Cons: -Uses 2 USB ports
-The screw holes were slightly out of like, fixed it easily using a drill
-The screws holding the one end on are easily stripped so make sure you have the proper screwdriver.

Other: I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a cheap external enclosure
It's a steal for $10.

Pros: -the metal case is rather durrable though i wouldn't drop anything heavy on it.
-the HD fits nicely in the case and connects to the board with no problem.
-it looks prety good if you don't have to tape it.

Cons: -other then the metal case it's a bit cheeply built.
-the screws are VERY small and easy to lose and prone to popping out. lost one in the first 5 min and had to tape it closed.
-the back end is held in very weakly. it's pretty tight when a drive is in it but you can break it very easy.

Other: works fine. a bit cheep but it should work fine for what most people generally need. just try not to lose the screws :P
