Seagate 2.5" SATA Hard Drive with External USB 2.0 Enclosure (500GB)

Pros: This is a great external hard disk drive: * very nice 500 GB capacity (about 465 GB avail) - comes NTSC formatted... this is good for me. * super slim line * ultra sexy! mirror finish and sleek black * comes with a little pull string pouch * comes with protective plastic over the case to protect it in transit (just those ones that you pull of straight away) * double headed USB cable for greater reliability (one can suffice) * power light * seperate usage light *uses a detachable USB cable (standard male mini USB to 2 x male USB).... (my old external with the same specs is now having trouble with the cord that is permanantly attached to the drive when it's bent at certain orientations [not from DX])

Cons: nothing too big a deal as far as I can tell (yes i only got this drive today) * well the sexy mirror finish can show finger prints and other such dirtyness quite easy * its slim line, so probably not very drop proof or anything like that

Other: i definitly think this is a worthy external hard drive for anyone to buy :)

Pros: - Price. I got this 2.5" 500GB SATA HD plus an enclosure for less than half the price I would pay only on the hard drive (no enclosure) here in Brazil. - Finishing. The damn thing is beautiful. Chrome on back and black piano on front. Not that it matters this much on a hardware piece, but it sure looks fine and matches the equipment I bought this for (a DVD player with USB ports) perfectly. - Dual USB cable (one for power) necessary on USB 1.1 connections (no power), but works just fine with only one plug on USB 2.0 systems - Pre-formatted on NTFS - Comes with pouch for scratch protection when transporting

Cons: - Does not offer much on impact protection, but as I will use this stand alone it is just fine. Anyway, a laptop hard drive is more resilient than 3.5-inch hard drives, so it would be safe on everyday bumping.

Other: Man, I plan to buy two more of these. One of them I will take apart just to get the hard drive for my netbook. Other will be used as a backup drive. This was really a pleasant surprise.

Pros: Price is fair. It is easy to use, usb cable included, 2 leds one for power and one for hd access (red color), good speed, no error on HD

Cons: Enclosure on one side is nice and firm, on the other side by flexible thin plastic, which makes it vulnerable if not used with care. The HD Inside is not Seagate but Samsung.

Other: Overall it is good and I am satisfied after one day use. But I expected that this is genuine Seagate as described on page. I just think that Seagate will have better durability than Samsung in the long run.

Pros: Gostei muito da case, tem dois leds, um indica a força e o outro o acesso ao HD. Ela é preta de um lado e inox do outro. É fixada com um parafuso e abre correndo a tampa prata. Já vem formatado no sistema NTFS em uma única partição. É idêntico ao sku 34363. A única diferença é o nome impresso na caixa externa (Seagate ou Samsung). xxxx I liked this case very much, it has two leds, one indicates power and the other the HDD access. It's black in one side and silver in the other. It's closed sliding the silver cover and fixed with a screw. It's preformatted in NTFS system. There's no diference betewen this and sku 34363. The only diference is the name printed in black cover: Seagate or Samsung.

Cons: O HDD incluído não é necessariamente um Seagate, o meu por exemplo é um Western Digital. Eu abri e postarei algumas fotos dele. xxxx The internal HDD is not necessarily a Segate one. Mine, for instance, is an Western Digital. I had opened and I'll post some photos.

Other: Eu recomendo a compra, pois é um bom produto e o preço é justo. xxxx I recommend, it's a good product and the price is fair.

my laptop and computer detect the hhd fast with no problem, all the 500gb works and speed transfer is acceptable for usb 2.0. comes with doble USB. The chrome finishing is beautiful!!

Cons: nothing to say, everything is fine

Other: definitly it worth excelent product a great choice!

Pros: - Price: it's about half the price of the best price I can get in my country - Case looks really good - It came with a little pocket to store it safely - Really 500GB disk, so good relationship in gb per dollar - Very slim

Cons: - Not a Seagate disk, but a Hitachi one - Really hard to open the case - Case can get damaged quickly on a fall

Other: I recommend the product for those wanting to use only the disk (not the case) for replacement in a PS3, for example, or a notebook.

Pros: A beautiful Sata external hard drive with 500GB capacity ideal for backups and copies of files, movies and songs. His speed is very good and its use is very easy. Ideal to take along with Notebook.

Cons: I already have this product for over three years is far had no problems with it.

Other: I recommend purchasing this hard drive and all my friends.
