Slim Portable USB 2.0 8X DVD-RW External Optical Drive

Pros: 1) Overall device build quality, package, etc is very good. It's nice to touch :-)
2) Similar device locally cost 2-3 times more

Cons: 1) It seems like this device doesn't work with USB 1.1 port. I have old IBM T21 with just one USB 1.1 port and this drive just cannot read disk catalog (read error) when I connect it to T21. I've tried many disks both with external power and without.
Already purchased USB 2.0 PCMCIA card, hope it will work.
2) I've tried it with my another computer - server with Windows 2008 x64. It doesn't work too because Windows cannot find a driver, no x64 drivers on disk.
3) When I connected it to another notebooks with Windows XP and USB 2.0 port - it works fine.

Other: Actually, I've expected it will work with T21 and as external drive for server. So, device finally works, but not too useful in my case.

Pros: I've bought this product to use with my Netbook MSI Wind. It comes in a good box, perfectly packed, with two USB cables, one for data+power and another for extra power (if you have old 1.1 USB).
Also comes with a CD for Win95/98 drivers, and an instructions manual.
The body is rubberized and very good to touch.

Cons: One time the tray door refused to eject and I had to give it a hand. Don't know exactly what happened, but it's working fine now.

Other: It's a good product to have. Great price and I've already tested the recording. Worked like a charm.
