Solar Power Self-Recharge 2-LED 3-Mode Bicycle Safety Tail Light with Bike Mount

Pros: -This product has bright red LEDs.
-It is easily visible for a good distance.
-It does not take much time for the internal battery to recharge, due to the fairly large solar panel.
-The mounting hardware is included, and includes a quick-release clip.
-The light is turned on and off by a simple button on the underside of the unit that is easily accessible by reaching under the seat while riding.
-The housing is not submersible (unless you caulk it yourself), but it will stand up quite well to the small amount of rain that does manage to fall under your seat.

Cons: -The clip that holds the unit to the bike feels a little flimsy; I worry when I go over curbs.
-The price seems a bit steep for this product, considering the price of similar items (e.g., some of the solar keychain flashlights).

Other: -Definitely a good buy. I got one along with one of SKU 19827, which I mounted on my handlebars as a headlight. The pair are a fine replacement for my old bottle generator and incandescent headlight and taillight (both of which I left attached as backup for cloudy days). This setup is quite ideal for city riding.

Pros: Doesn't need batteries! (Other than the built-in one it charges itself.)

Cons: Leaks like a sieve and shorts out. There's no gasket at all, so water runs right in and through it. Tiny screws hold it together, and I'm surprised I didn't lose any in the multiple times I took it apart to dry it out and try to seal it. Seems to require a disproportionately long time to recharge. Very dim when not well charged.

Other: I rigged a way to mount it on my Ortleib bike bag, and I mostly leave it there. Not very practical, but proved useful when I had to ride my backup bike, which doesn't have a proper taillight yet.

Pros: This item sounds like it's only a good idea on paper, but it actually works great.
Installation is easy, then the light easily detaches from the mount. So you can just take it off and put it in your windowsill for a recharge. Or just ride your bike during the daytime and turn it on when it gets dark out. It really doesn't need much juice.

Cons: It's not water resistant at all. You'll find this out on a rainy day if you don't have fenders. I put duct tape inside mine, maybe that will help.

Other: If REI sold this, it would cost $30.

Pros: EN - Doesn't need batteries. Has bright red LEDs. It's easily visible for a good distance.
PT-Br - Não precisa de pilhas. Tem LEDs vermelhos bem brilhantes. É fácil de ser visto a grandes distâncias.

Cons: EN - It's not water proof. You must caulk it yourself (i caulk mine with silicon glue)
PT-Br - Não é a prova d'água. Vc mesmo tem que fazer a vedação (eu vedeu o meu com cola de silicone)

Other: EN - It's unique, hard-to-find product. Definitely a very great buy. It's quite ideal for city riding at night.
PT-Br - É um produto único, difícil de encontrar. Definitivamente uma ótima compra. É ideal para usar a noite na cidade.

Cons: Only for indoor bikes.... Not Water resistant, when arrived, worked good, after a week, the switch is only putting the lights on... not off. Then the lights suddenly can be switched on. after a week... DEAD... Nice for money throwing people, but not for users.

Other: Well this is one review that isn't positive, because of the quality that DX always delivered, this is worst than the cheapest crap that i can buy in the Netherlands! It is so bad, that even the sun hates it now. Please make it water resistant, or only send it to the sahara desert. 2 weeks this thing "worked"

Pros: Very bright, multiple modes, and seems to charge up with very little exposure. Haven't had it run out of juice, but haven't used it for more than 30-40 minutes at a time. Easy to remove off the bike when not in use.

Cons: A little flimsy. When you remove it, there is no reflector left on the part remaining on the bike. I don't ride in the rain so have not had an opportunity to see if it leaks, but seems like it would be easy to disassemble and seal with some silicone.

Other: Good cheap little light that does the job

Other: The same device in Brazil would be much more expensive. The installation method is really easy and since it is not water resistant it can be installed below your saddle to be protect from the rain.

Pros: I find no argument for this article. No PRO's

Cons: Only used for indoor, so no good for bikes. And of course solar power is useless indoors. The power button is stuck and can not turn off the lights and stay on, so within hours is dead. If it rains, as in my case, death is imminent.

Other: DO NOT BUY, unless you like throwing money away. If you want to give better employ them in acts of charity.

Pros: good materials and works like a charm. Se carga en un día desde que lo sacas del paquete, y luego funciona perfectamente varios días. Incluso se carga dentro de la casa, junto a una ventana sin sol directo. Durante el día, carga cuando estas pedaleando. La luminosidad es adecuada para conducir en el transito y ser visto por los automovilistas.

Cons: no cons. (no tiene contras ni objeciones) Made the work very well

Other: good for the price. Lo recomendaría a un amigo.
