Solar powered products have come a long way in the last few years! Now you can absorb a decent amount of power via solar panels. People have put them on the roofs of their home. Electric cars have them for powering accessories while the car is idle. As for solar powered lights the consumption of energy is low and solar panels work great.

    This is a cool bicycle light set. It features a 5 LED ultra bright headlamp and a 3 LED red tail lamp. It runs off 2 AA 600mAh rechargeable batteries. The batteries can be easily recharged via the high intensity solar panels on the headlamp. This light set offers the utmost security and visibility for those dangerous night time rides on dark roads. They are a perfect gift for the avid rider of for you to use.

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: There is solar charger which means that you won't need to charge it.

    Cons: the tail light is not triggered by the switch. It always works. It makes the system quite unpractical! You have to disconnect the tail light in order to preserv battery. This was badly projected! The front light is not so strong, could be a stringer flashing light.

    Other: Whereas it has some flows, it may be used by people that does not feel the need of a strong light. This is not my case. I have a 24 km commute and I need a great light in order to be safe.
