Solar Powered 1.2" LCD Digital Thermometer (-50~150'C)

Pros: - Never need a battery! - Works under any lighting conditions I tested (may be battery backed up) - Put it in boiling water, and it registered 99.6C (probably would read 100C if I had waited longer). - I put it in the freezer, left it overnight, and the display was immediately readable when I opened the door (-12.6C).

Cons: - If you break the solar panel, it probably won't work anymore, depending on the type of break. But the LCD can also break, so this isn't really a broken with this one.

Other: - If you need a thermometer, get it! And never worry about batteries again!

Pros: -It's Solar Powerd! -Very Accurate! -Long Cable Length! -You need no Batteries! -Large An Clear Lcd Display! -It Has a Large Range: -50-+150! -Very small Device! - Put it in boiling water, and it registered 98°C

Cons: Maybe the tip of the Thermometer is Fragile. I think it would be better if the tip Was From Steel. But it is still Good!

Other: This is my first digital Thermometer. And I'm Very happy with it! Very Accurate and Also trustworthy I Would say Buy it!!

Pros: Sturdy plastic construction, this device is molded with clips in the back so that it could be panel mounted through a rectangular cutout. The temperature reading is very responsive and accurate, the display is big and easy to read.

Cons: As stated elsewhere in a discussion thread this device does have a LR44 battery inside for voltage stabilization. Not sure how well it will work without it. The probe is not weighted and isn't very heavy.

Other: For the price (compared to how much you'd pay elsewhere) this is a great little thermometer and its shortcomings are easily resolved.

Pros: It is a good deal to measure our DIY projects. Initially, couldn't seem not accurate but it is enought!!! Just +- 0,1º. It could be inserted in a metal plate or wood wall. Solar powered device is a gorgeus improvement in order to avoid small just one use batteries.

Cons: Nowadays, anything as I discovered. By the way, could be metal case or measure unit metal constructed as a secondary deal.

Other: If you need a cheap thermometer you should try this one

Pros: This thermometer can display temperature in .1 degree increments, and has a very wide range of temperatures it can display.
Goes down to minus 50 Celsius, ok for Canadian winters, though it can get colder than -50 here.
Solar panel supplemented- the solar panel aids the battery in powering the display. This means that the battery will last a lot longer than a thermometer without a solar panel.

Cons: I would prefer that it had a more practical temperature range for an outdoor thermometer, for example, if it went down to -70 and up to 130 degrees.
Cord could be a few feet longer

Other: Just buy the thing. You won't regret it.

Pros: Fast change temperature measurement(Displayed temperature measurement change on 25 degrees for 3 minutes). Can display temperature in .1 degree increments. Have solar power and wide range of temperatures measurement.

Cons: I can't understand well how solar power work in this widget. When I get it from dark mail box it good show - it temperature. I turn out battery from solar power and display show as well as shown in sun. Looks like widget have some add battery. But there is no easy way to disassemble widget to change battery.

Other: It's not expensive usefull temperatures thermometer.

Pros: -Solar powered, goes on and on (even in the dark) -Resolution 0.2 degrees celcius -Big number display, can be read from a few meters (depends on your eye-sight really) -Temperature sensor is attached to cable, which means you can put this everywhere you want to and still be able to read the display (E.g. inside a PC)

Cons: -If used on a shelf or desk, the sensor cable has to be hidden somewhere in order for your desk to look tidy.

Other: You can let this display sit around where ever you need to read the temperature without taking care of it. No need to change the batteries. Excellent value considering it's price and overall quality.

Pros: When I got it I was thinking that it will not work, because it is so simple and small. But works fine !!! Now we put it on the tile stove and it shows the temperature of the stove in winter (around 60-70-80 Celsius) Interesting to see how hot the stove is. It can help us in summer in the car to check the temperature of the air-conditioning or you can put it into the refregirator. Wide measuring area.

Cons: Can be cheapera bit.

Other: Useful.

Pros: I had been using this for a while. In Canada, the temperature changes dramatically... I placed one of these next to my kitchen window, allow me to look at the temperature outside before heading out. Much easier than checking out the temperature on TV or my phone. My parents loves it. The solar panel saves the battery life and make it last forever.

Cons: I would like to see this product in other colour. The white plastic design just looks a bit cheap... It would be nice if it can measure humidity too.

Other: -

Pros: All looks ok, working as described. Device have inner battery, so how good it will be recharhed after some time of using, I don't know.

Cons: Wire with sensor is too fat, and it was impossible to put it outside in a small hole near the window. So, wireless is better anyway (its not a problem if there are many holes in the house :) ).

Other: Nice device if you a fan of ecology and solar power :) Otherwise the same device can be found much more cheaper.
