Solar Powered Self-Recharge White Light 5-LED Flashlight with Compass

Pros: I just got it and I love it. It is small as a marker the kids use to draw thick lines. I got other similar product but it was much bigger. This is easy to have in a pocket of regular size even in Blue Jeans pockets. It is aluminum case except the solar panels window which obviously is plastic. It looks and feels tough and will stay one piece even dropped on the floor. Really good item buy it.

Cons: No compass , but I do not complain it is useless to have compass on the back of the flashlight anyway. Just think of it, why you need compass that you cannot see in the dark? Since it is on the back. DX must remove from the description this compass line.

Other: Really good item buy it. I got 2 of these and I will buy more.

Pros: Cheap torch with good light output for general tasks and odd jobs. The body is aluminium and is quite strong should you drop it or drop something on it. The solar panel is the polycrystalline (blue) type so it is more efficient and will last for many years, as opposed to the amorphous thin film brown type of solar panel. Has a small chip to regulate the LED power, will just switch off when battery is low.

Cons: The compass does not work, but no surprise there. The compass at the back is also the on/off button which is not the best designed button, it feels loose and has way too much travel. Once fully charged you will only get about 10 minutes of light from it before it turns itself off. The internal battery is a cheap AA ni-cad and could be better. The ends are glued on rather than screwed on.

Other: Good torch for occasional use when left in a sunny position. The parts seem good quality but the construction is very cheap. The internal wires may come loose and need to be re-soldered.
