Solar Powered Sports Watch (Black)

Pros: Discreption is accurate. Back of watch says water resistant to 3 atmospheres. Instructions are clear and watch easy to use. Time and date was easily set. Light weight and plastic band is comfortable. The green light is very good, making it very easy to see time in the dark.

Cons: With the exception of the watch back, which is stainless steel, all exterior parts of the watch are plastic. Never had one like this before, and wasn't expecting it. Still rated 5 for build quality because it is a $6 watch and nothing is wrong with it.

Other: Purchased watch to replace the watch I used when doing things where I wouldn't want to wear a nice watch. This works, since if it is destroyed I will not worry about it. This may be a tough watch. Time will tell.

Pros: Seriously, who are these guys at DealExtreme!! I mean, good prices, fast shipping, and good products...it's the next best thing to...Anyway, this watch is great, AS ARE ALL ITEMS ON DealExtreme. Seriously, if you need a watch or anything for that matter, check this site first, you will not be let down.

Pros: ° Extremely low price. ° Glows in nice blue when using light function ° Very light build (I have not been wearing watches since over ten years and I have got used to this one within a couple of minutes)

° Sometimes the battery to power this watch is more expensive than the watches price at DX...

Cons: ° According to the manual Solar Cell DOES NOT recharge battery. In case it does not produce enough energy then the battery powers the watch.

° Built-in alarm is not as loud as it sometimes needs to be -- also it automatically stops after 59 seconds and does not alarm again -- you need to push snooze-button ("START") within these 59 seconds to make it alarm again (5 minutes later), else it won't ring again!!!

° Only 3 ATM water resistant which regarding the standards means it would stand a light rain but won't survive underwater. Have not tried out and will not.

Other: Buy this if you need a cheap watch when trekking/hiking.

Pros: - The price is too good to be true. - Very stylish plus sporty look. - Suits both adults and kids as well since it comes with variety of colors. - The back light is very bright and you can read it even when there is fog.

Cons: - Build quality is not quite good so you need to be careful when you wear it.
- I received mine with a small crack so I had to be extra-careful when I wear it.

Other: Good item with great use. works as an every day item and as a gift as well.

Pros: First of all this watch comes with a high capacity Japanese Li-ion battery that lasts 4 years and another 4 years thanks to the solar cell in the watch. When wearing the watch it sits very comfortable, the wriststrap is in plastic so I'm not sure how long it'll take before it gets torn but it looks pretty sturdy. Also, this time the manual was in both Chinese AND English which is a good thing.

The functions of this watch are pretty basic: stopwatch, alarm, show date (month / day), a 12 & 24hrs clock and a fancy backlight when you're in the dark.

The manual says 30meter water resistance but personally I wouldn't really dive with it.

Cons: The only thing I could think of as a minor con is the metal where you put the part of the watch in so it sticks sometimes rubs on your skin which is annoying at times.

Other: It's a cheap and cool watch. Besides, you're saving the enviroment a bit with your solar powered battery :)
